  • This video is NOT a tutorial. It's comprised mainly of photos after the oven's complete disassembly, comparison of THAT to its appearance after reassembly...and as it appears when placed back into service in a restaurant's kitchen.
This oven disassembly was to a degree RARELY seen outside the manufacturer's factory in Germany. Several unique and significant issues had to be addressed over the course of this month-long project..
Many - MANY man-hours, parts and repair processes (not portrayed in the video) were required to accomplish this repair.

Depending on what version of SCC oven you have, service 17 is:
      - on older ovens (2011 & prior) - a disconnected or bad EEPROM.
      - on newer ovens - basic unit data is missing.
Either way, you should have your oven's serial number ready and call Rational.

@@ChandanSharma-zu4ke Your problem is as I'd said. A faulty or disconnected EEPROM. Address that and then, YES, it will require calibration. I won't be making a video on that. Everything you need is in this manual: www.heritageparts.com/medias/RAG0168.pdf?context=bWFzdGVyfHBkZi1tYW51YWxzfDM1MTM5MjJ8YXBwbGljYXRpb24vcGRmfHBkZi1tYW51YWxzL2g1YS9oMGUvODk4MTcyNTYxMDAxNC5wZGZ8MDc0ZWYzNGM4YTBjZmM5OWMzNzA3MjIzNzY5ZTI0ZjQ0N2MyZDUyMjAxZTk4Y2RlYWRjMTM3MjkxYWUwNmMwZA

Have worked big box convention hotel as an F&B mgr 30+yrs, now working a horse racing / casino complex, trying to transition from F&B paper pushing back to getting my hands dirty in refrigeration & hotside equipment.
Stupid move as I likely only have a few years of knees left, but am happier in front of a broken mindless machine instead of a broken mindless human employee.

I prefer the machines over the people as well.
Twenty years in military brought me closer to the people side. Then, fourteen as a field service tech working on kitchen equipment and dealing with customers. I NEVER got good at the people side of it in EITHER case. That's why I never vied for a management position.
Being an in-house tech now, the "people" THERE accept grumpy, old ME...as I critique them in some of the ridiculously stupid things they call me to reconcile for them. WHY? Because I generally show up almost IMMEDIATELY...and they know I'm very good at getting their "machine" working again.
