Golden South sea pearl is so precious and thank you for this wonderful video for teaching me that a pearl is not just it, it has a deep and meaningfulstory behind it. It really takes a lot of time and patience. I was also inspired when they said that Golden south sea pearls are produced with a 'Golden heart' and 'Golden People'😊💗
I just realized that this video is posted 10 years ago. I wish the company is already harvesting the fruits of their hard work and endless efforts. I really loved how you supported the locals and treated them as family. More blessings to you and hope you produce a lot of your Golden Pearls
I always watching this, its 2021 already, what a day and life in the island, producing pearls is not easy as it is,it really takes years! dreaming one day soon i could buy a golden pearl that is produced in our country!💖🇵🇭

(1) It is the Jewelmer corp who owns the pearl farm not just a sole foreigner. Jewelmer was established by a Filipino entrepreneur and a French pearl farmer (2) No one can own the beach or the sea in the Philippines. They may just have a long-term (50 yrs?) lease or rights to use that particular part of the sea. (3) They benefit from it because they invested (time, money, technology) on it. (4) BUT If you watched the whole video, the company is even giving more than they actually get from the pearl farm. They are providing employment. Who employs marine biologists nowadays? (5) They are involved and very much engaged within their neighboring communities, providing livelihood and development/technical education. (6) The company is committed to maintaining the pristine environment (because it is needed to produce high quality pearls.) -- that in itself is already more than you can say about any other production farms or company in the Philippines. (7) The CEO said it himself, the company takes responsibility to uplift the surrounding communities. The company cannot progress if the neighboring communities do not progress at the same time. Isn't that more than enough benefit? What more are you looking for?
Who owns the jewelmer? Of course the Cojuanco! And who knows how much that french guy sell the pearl in auction in their country. One pearl could pay the labor cost for the whole year. God knows how many pearls he sold in the auction.
I'm not aware of Filipino people not being able to do same if they so wish. Of course they also need the resources but there are wealthy Filipino people
That's why I always support Jewelmer! Pearls are the diamonds of the Philippines. Such a beauty! 🙏❤

i'm just wondering why does a foreign person owns such massive farm and gets the benefit of it instead of the Filipino people?
