  • Over 2 feet of end of driveway snow in the beginning. The rest is just some a 1.5" light snow and clean up after drifting.

    This is the 3rd winter for my 724 QXE. I'm in the east central area of Pennsylvania. We've had a few heavy snowfalls over the 3 year period with up to 3 feet with drifting. There's never been a problem with this little giant moving snow. My neighbor said "I know you're blowing snow because I can see the rooster tail of snow 30 feet in the air.". This is the best piece of power equipment I ever purchased. 👍👍

    I would just spend a little more, and get a dual stage machine. This one did ok, but I doubt that it’s going to hold up in the deeper, heavy stuff like a true dual stage.

    • @cutandcleanwi6947
      @cutandcleanwi6947  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      For an average snowfall we usually get 3" or less. This machine is twice as fast for those scenarios. If you get 6" or more per snowfall then I would suggest getting a 2 stage snowblower. I've been doing snow removal for almost 20 years and have only wished that I had a 2 stage snowblower on less then 10 occasions.

    • @jamesorsby7553
      @jamesorsby7553 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@cutandcleanwi6947 If you're average snowfall is 3", I guess most single stage machines would suffice. However, 6" isn't even the average snowfall here in Chicago, it's more like 10" because of the lake effect snow. What could start out as a 6" prediction can easily end up being a foot or more most times. So I guess location is pivotal to the snowblower you buy. Here in Chi, you can't buy big enough, it gets pretty rough at times.

Never had even a hint of wanting to clog up. I've gotten so I'm comfortable enough to drive with one had and move the chute around with the other. I was usuing it to clear an inch of snow last night. Did beautyful, right to the concrete, full width, at a jogging speed. Wouldn't dream of clearing only an inch with a two stage. I'm not liking the way your 724 rolls the deep snow, I have an old 622 that does that . My 9 year old Murray has a massive housing and does not do that. If I take a 2/3 swath it moves it clean up to full housing height. No retracing to pick up the overflow. Thoughts ? Again I'd love to try one of these (I've yet to see one in person).
