    I brought a bleeding heart vine plant last year, and my plant barely survived throughout the winter in New York City. I found your channel in March 2022, and followed your soil combination and care instructions steps by steps, your growing tips are lifesaver, my plants is growing strong and blooming beautifully. Thank you very much.

    Sir i planted it in a pot 2 years back. But it has no growth it has only bloomed for once. Plus leaves look super unhealthy like they are yellow and even fall off just by touching them. I really need help.

      Thank you so much 😊 Red one is gorgeous but has one drawback - doesn't bloom continuously like the other one. The white one keeps blooming till Nov-Dec

    Hello friend ....very beautiful plant .....my plant has shed all its leaves but still live ...As Rajasthan is very hot I kept it in shade ..when I bought it last year it had few blooms but this year neither leaves nor blooms appeared at all...Can I add mustard cake fertilizer as it is very hot here?

    • @GardeningUpbeat
      @GardeningUpbeat  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Glad you liked it and thank you very much for your words..You can..but please apply little bit and see how it goes. No issue with the Bone meal and it can be applied. I know, it's too much hot there. In my place, max temp goes around 37-39 and on average it's 33-35. I apply Mustard cake powder even in the Summer. Just giving an idea about the temp in my place and hope it helps. Thank you!

      @@GardeningUpbeat Thank you so much for your prompt reply ...temp. here is 44-45 degree...I don't want to use bonemeal either as we are vegetarian....Can I use DAP or banana peel etc? Seeking your advice...

    • @GardeningUpbeat
      @GardeningUpbeat  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @Sushma Grover, Oh, sorry to know..I didn't know that. Or else, I wouldn't have suggested Bone meal. Sure, DAP and Banana peel would be fine and we can use them too. One small tip - now a days in market, BIO DAP and BIO Potash is available (organic and not Chemical). In case you get them, use them as they won't damage the soil. Anyway, Bleeding heart doesn't need lots of care. Just soil need to be acidic and it grows well. In case you do compost at home, feel free to apply on Bleeding heart plants and it would love it. Good luck :-)

      @@GardeningUpbeat pls. don't feel sorry ....I do composting at home ...does it make soil acidic?I use compost water every week on my plants ...Thank you

    • @GardeningUpbeat
      @GardeningUpbeat  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @Sushma Grover, Thank you! Yeah, Compost is normally acidic and Home made compost is Amazing source of nutrients for plants if we do correct way! If we can provide on regular basis, there is actually no need to supply anything. But for that, soil should be good as well. Wish you all the best!

    Does it require sunlight? Or can it also grow indoors with passive sunlight?

      Blooms without direct sunlight too..but very bright light would be needed. Indoor - not really sure as haven't tried yet :-(

    Sir I got these 2 verieties of bleeding hearts vines They grown wildly all over my terrace of the house 3 months back I gave hard pruning now they are growing Beautifully. Sir ur explanation is so impressive and helpfull to gardeners like me but one thing I want to know
    How to multiply them? All the branches are going to the dust bin
    Pl I need ur guidlines thank u

    • @GardeningUpbeat
      @GardeningUpbeat  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thank you So much for your words and I am glad to know they are growing well. They usually multiply itself over time..they keep producing new shoots from the roots and eventually they would fill the entire pot. But still, if you like you can easily grow more plants from those cuttings and grow in the same pot (instead of throwing them) I already have a video about growing from cuttings and you can find it here - th-cam.com/video/unGcezcdEr8/w-d-xo.html
      Hope that helps and Sir is not required actually! Wish you all the best!

    • @GardeningUpbeat
      @GardeningUpbeat  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @Shaista Jilani, Please wait (1 week is too early actually) and be careful not to water daily. Before watering, always let the top soil dry out. Bleeding heart is a hardy plant and it won't die that easily. Also, please try to provide at least 3-4 hours of direct sunlight. Avoid using any Chemicals at this time, like Aluminium Sulphate etc. You can do once your plant grows well. I hope, that helps. If any more questions, please let me know.

    My bleeding heart plant leaves are falling off...wat to do ?
    Plz help🙏

    • @GardeningUpbeat
      @GardeningUpbeat  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      There may be many reasons and if you have provided me some more info, it would have been better. But anyway ---- I believe your plant is not very old one and you got it recently. If that is so or you have recently repotted it, please don't overwater your plant. You can let the top soil dry out before watering. Next, plz try to provide at least 3-4 hours of direct sunlight. Leaves usually fall off if the soil is too wet, specially at the very early stage. If your situation is different, please let me know.

    • @Saanch
      @Saanch 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      U r completly right... My plant is new n I water it daily .. In our place it's 48..49 degree temperature.. so is it ok to keep it in full sunlight ?

    • @GardeningUpbeat
      @GardeningUpbeat  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Not in full Sun, just provide 3-4 hours or since it's too much hot, Plz provide filtered sunlight if possible (like under a cloth or in the shade of other plants etc). If not, Plz just keep in extreme bright light and water only when top soil looks dry. Good luck :-)
