This podcast/video was incredible! As an ex-teacher I left the field because the social and emotional aspects refuse to be met. We were allowed 20 minutes of a scripted SEL curriculum. After a few months, it was thrown out and we were told to focus on core subjects. It breaks my heart that regulation is not a focus for our school systems. It is beyond necessary!

I saw it in 1999 when these integral skills were called “soft” and while I’ve seen much progress over the years, its teachers like you who we need in the classrooms.
