This is how cops have treated black people here for decades and decades. This is nothing compared to what happens every day to non-famous people (e.g., George Floyd). To be fair, most of the cops here were level-headed mostly, but all it takes is one. Best to do as they ask but many are on power trips and escalate to force way too quickly. The real pros in the police forces know how to de-escalate and get what they need. The one cop was put on administrative leave (a kind of suspension from the streets) pending investigation.

There are so many police officers who have absolutely 0 agency over their own emotions. When you have a bullet proof vest and a gun you should have an obligation to deescalate the situation not get aggravated and assault an assailant, regardless of who they are. And make no mistake about, it Tyreek Hill is not exactly an upstanding citizen when it comes to his domestic life. But it’s irrelevant, the police are not the judge, jury or executioner yet they continue to act like they are. The same way the legal system allows anyone representation to defend themselves in a court of law regardless of the actual crime they commit. When police forces started in this country it was to chase slaves down, they protect and serve the interest of the people who run this country not the people themselves.

The version I saw was much better, maybe from from the 1st officer's camera because it was much easier to hear and see. There were 3 or 4 motor cops in the middle of the highway under a bridge (or sign structure). Traffic is little and then you see this low black car flying pass them....obviously speeding. Hill sees the cops behind him and pulls over, cool. The 1st cop (and I'm seeing thru his camera) steps up and knocks on the window to get Hill to roll it down. Hill refused. After a couple of times he finally lowered the window to give out his ID but angrily told the cop not to knock on his window.....this he said often "don't be knocking on my window..etc etc". The cop (Cuban or P.R., by his accent ) didn't like Hill's combative attitude and said the hrll with this. You need to know that this was a simple quiet ticket. You know you f'd up, so be cool, get your ticket and take off. But Hill's privilege attitude and hot blooded Latinos with badges (at least 3 of the motor cops were Latino) didn't mix well. It should be noted that those windows were very very dark and "taking the officer's point of view" dangerous. It is not difficult to suspect that the driver might try to conceal something or even draw a weapon.....you don't know? It's possible the cops don't know of him. Then to make things worse his teammates tried to get involved.....that's police business, stay out of it.
The thing here is that your opinion would be altered if you saw and heard the actions thru the first officer's camera.

I'm glad they released all the bodycam from each officer, including from watching Hill speed past. Because he was speeding and weaving through traffic, not complying with officers, and using his illegally tinted windows to make it so they can't see his hands while being combative and having other people nearby escalating it by trying to get involved, they're absolutely fine to make him get out of the car. Once they had him out and detained though, their actions/roughness is absolutely not okay. Combination of an idiot in the car and idiots with badges. He ended up getting two tickets. Cops mightve been extra on edge if they recognized him and knew he was a violent criminal too, though that doesn't excuse their actions since it's their job to deal with it. End of the day, much better than the typical news story about an NFL wide receiver speeding, because those usually end with fatalities. Sucks to see so many bad people fighting with each other.

Let's see, how about Tyreek grows up? The places when police are killed the most in the USA are traffic stops (Usually shot) they need to see his hands, Tyreek had tinted windows, domestic violence calls police seem to end up dead.
Tyreek should be thinking what if I lost control of my car and killed a family of five.? What if I just kept my window rolled down and gave officer my info. I would have gotten a ticket or warning and been on my way? Tyreek is thirty years old now! If Tyreek does not like attention how about ....No assaulting pregnant girl friends? fathering numerous children out of wedlock? Assaulting an employee a at a Florida marina and have to settle out of court? No breaking your 3 three year olds sons arm. Think about the police making you sit on the curb, Consider that is a "time out" for you Tyreek , without a broken arm.

The moral of the story is obey the cops' orders. The cops did not overreact in my opinion. Hill has a long history with the law and he doesn't listen. Hill is being sued left and right by woman who may have given birth to as many as 10 kids.

@@MoeDavinci You cannot roll up your window on a traffic stop. Moreover, when a cop gives you an order, you obey it. Period! It's not up for a debate. If you feel that the cops are wrong with the stop or in any other way, you must file a complaint. The side of the road is not the place to hash it out.

The first thing I do when I see any of these videos is start asking questions. The first question is:
Is this video telling the whole story/ What happened to get us to the point where the video begins? I think everybody needs to ask questions and not make judgements until they have more information.
Having said that, I think it's even more important for law enforcement to know how to keep their emotions and biases in check. It's dangerous for everybody involved when they can't do that.

You do not pull up on police officers when they are in the process of doing their duty. It puts them in physical danger. It doesnt matter who you are. Do what the officer says. When he asks for you to roll down your window, roll down your window. Dont call for back up. It can escalate quickly. It is for their saftey they asked the second vehicle to drive away. They want to go home to their families too.

Tyreek Hill literally beat his pregnant girlfriend up. So, I clearly couldn’t care less if he finally had some karma.
He also was going 85mph in a 55mph zone. If that was a regular citizen they’d be in jail awaiting bond. He cried about his knee, meanwhile it seemed fine the entire football game he was allowed to play. If I’m going 85mph on my way to work in a 55 mph zone I’ll literally be handcuffed and not able to go into work. Yikes, Tyreek got the celebrity bailout. Why bailout beaters of pregnant women? He also broke his kids leg too but didn’t get jail either.
