    My hair breaks off there too. Doing my micro locs now, thinking I may have parted too small but l will combine in a few months if needed. This was helpful

    Thanks for posting this video. Started my braidlocks about two days ago, and this is how they were installed. Mine are very small, but I love the way yours look. They’re absolutely beautiful and I hope mine look as good as yours in about 10 months as well! 🥰

      Im glad you found this video helpful. I researched braidlocs before installing and couldn't find much so I wanted to document parts of my journey. I know your locs are going to be beautiful! Thanks for watching ❤️

    My appointment is at the end of the month! I can’t wait. Thank you for this video!! My only concern is controlling build up. I bought a satin cap and sheets. Thanks again! Your hair is beautiful!

      I'm glad the video was helpful 😌 Now looking back my braidlocs were beautiful...I was so stuck on the braid pattern. Enjoy the journey and thanks for watching 💖

    This is exactly what i was looking to do! Do you recommend doing regular box braida or knotless?

    • @demeki22
      @demeki22  หลายเดือนก่อน

      I recommend knotless just to minimize the mark of demarcation between your natural hair and extensions as it grows out. Thanks for watching 💖

    They look SO good and burgundy fits you perfectly. I’ve been wanting to extend my interlocked locs with like 5 inches of braided hair to imitate the braid locs look but couldn’t find pics or videos of anyone with braids that long and I’m so thankful you uploaded this 😂❤ now I can tell I love this. Whatever you end up doing with your hair, you’re beautiful! Pretty sure anything will do hahaha

      Thanks so much for watching ❤️ Same, when trying to find visuals of the braidlocs on TH-cam there wasn't many so I thought it would be a good idea to document my journey and I'm glad I did. I took a chance and overall I love them beside those few things...which all come down to preference.

    Your hair is pretty.
    I just got microlocs twists with extensions. So far, I love the style. However, I am seeing other folk with extensions with curly ends. My ends are not curly/wavy. Were they not installed properly or is it the bulk hair that I purchased? It’s not curly but a bit wavy. I’m kind of disappointed ☹️ I guess I can roll mine like yours to get this curly look. Thank you for your advice and content.

      @demeki22  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes👍🏾, I suggest the twist because you wouldn't have to worry with how long it takes for the pattern to disappear. It most likely is the texture of bulk hair you used but to keep the ends wavy you would want to maintain the ends like a loose natural. Thanks for watching ❤️

    I love your locs I think once they grow out more it will be more full because looking at your new growth it shows the fullness try combining and wrapping with the human hair to see if you like before you actually combine

    • @demeki22
      @demeki22  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      This actually was an original thought of mine to wrap 2 together but I worried about the longevity of it. Thanks for watching ❤️

    Did you braid them in like you would knottless braids

    • @demeki22
      @demeki22  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      These were braided in like normal box braids. I suggest to braid in like knotless to achieve less line of demarcation as your hair grows. It will minimize the appearance of where the braid starts and ends. That was a part of my braid locs that I was not very fond of. Thanks for watching💖

    Your hair is beautiful, but yes, you can have thicker locs with fine/thin hair. You have to have fewer locs. You would need about 30 to 60 locs for thicker locs depending on the look you want.

    • @demeki22
      @demeki22  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks! Yes I was unsure of what size when I installed them but now I definitely want a thicker look so I contemplated combining them. My thoughts now are 50- 60 locs...we will see how this goes! Thanks for watching ❤️

    So I've heard braided locs don't have the volume of the 2 strand twists and traditional locs. Also I wonder if you dyed your roots to match, the textures may not be as noticeable. The length and style is nice.

    • @demeki22
      @demeki22  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes because of the braid it does cause the budding to be minimal and condensed. I would suggest twist for a thicker look. It allows room for the loc to mature to size. I have since transitioned to traditional loc extensions. Thanks for watching 💕

    I think they came out great! Where did you order your 100% human afro kinky bulk hair from Amazon? I’m having a hard time finding a vendor so that i can start my braid locs myself

    • @demeki22
      @demeki22  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks! Yes the bulk hair is from Amazon. Etsy is also a good place to purchase some. Just read the product details and reviews to make sure it's 100% human hair. Thanks for watching ❤️

    Is it because you didn't do the reties?

    • @demeki22
      @demeki22  10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      It could be...I stopped doing reties because I wanted more volume and I felt retwist would give my hair more room to expand. At the end, I wasn't in love with the outcome. Thanks for watching 💖
