    U.S. Constitution NOT void where prohibited by law !!
    We believe that many of our rights and civil liberties as American citizens on American soil are at great risk and that a simple act of civil disobedience has the power to effect great change. While we have no interest or intention in breaking any law, we are willing to stand up for freedom and the constitution at any time and at any place and do so in a responsible and productive manner. It is our goal to create free and open discussion whenever possible in an effort to educate both ourselves and anyone with a desire to learn. A well known rule of government is that ignorance is no excuse for the law. It is our stand that we as Americans have been either uninformed or misinformed regarding our laws and rights for far too long. We are not attorneys or scholars, however we have been involved in professional photography for over 30 years and have had our rights and freedoms challenged more times than we can remember. No one group or person has the ability to effect change across the board, however we are committed to doing our part by continuing to stand up for our constitutional right to free press and the right to take photographs and video in public. All donations will be used exclusively to further this cause. We want to thank you in advance for your support of what we do and want you to know that we are committed to working harder than ever to defend our rights, your rights and the Freedom to Film in Public!!

The cops need to turn to the women and say in a firm voice these people have a right to film on the public sidewalk and anywhere their eyes can see from the public sidewalk. It's their legal right. If they would have simply said those two sentences they would have educated all of those women about the Constitution. Instead there's all this gushy back and forth about feelings. Those in the know can avoid visiting Oakmont. The flip side of the coin doubles down in their overly generous online reviews of every business in town that made it on the video. The "featured businesses" go into damage control mode by removing negative reviews. And as a private business they can do that.

They park in handicap spaces and do PERSONL BUSINESS while on the job. Police often block traffic, even UNSAFELY, when there may be perfectly safe places to stop their vehicles. I've seen video of police parking in No Parking Zones and fire lanes to go into a store to buy some item. Unless there is a call for service that requires a circumvention of the traffic ordinances, they are required to follow them as well as any other person is required to do. Only a jackass would condone this type of behavior because what the police do is an abuse of authority. If you have the mental capacity to see beyond your own stupidity, you would understand how a SMALL infraction, once allowed without correction, snowballs into a larger infraction , etc, etc This is how tyranny starts and builds. So, continue sticking your head up your azz if you like, but you should really consider stepping up for what is right rather than submitting to what is wrong.

      For education. There’s a lot of people in the USA that believe others shouldn’t record things without permission. Not one person was uncomfortable with Zapruder filming the JFK assassination and that was 60+ years ago. Why have people become so concerned with being on camera should be the real question you’re asking.

    • @andrewjackson7279
      @andrewjackson7279 27 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @@lbjr777 I agree, there are sections of people who believe “others shouldn’t record things without permission”, which was an issue that we as a civilization has never experienced before. In 1963, people’s sense of self and identity was not shared, posted, recorded, or video taped (I really dated myself there) for the world to see on a digital stage. It was not a thought that anybody in the world had sense to consider. People took their Kodak pictures for family photo albums to pour over with close friends and family. It was a tangible, personal collection of memories for that individual. The reason I believe people are now more skeptical of public recording, especially without an explanation, or in a reasonable setting, is because of what can be done with our identities. We all know identity theft has grown exponentially. That people’s children are being filmed and used in sickening ways on the internet. What I mean by a “reasonable setting” is a setting that accommodates a real reason for actively recording without suspicion such as concerts, theme parks, stadiums, those kind of public venues where people are going to be in the background and foreground of the videos. Should people be allowed to record in a park, sure why not. How about most any other public place? Yes, definitely, we all have that responsibility and freedom to do so. But, posting up outside a business, pointing cameras towards a store front, without at least telling the people the reason why and just standing there watching people, is going to make those who are being recorded, wonder why? I see what you’re saying, I just think there might be a better way of presenting his case rather than filming people and their children only to then release it on the internet without their permission for the privacy of the child and family.
