  • Jonathan was not kidding when he said Season 3 will melt our faces off. I think I used half a box of tissue crying. Even while editing this reaction, I cried more! St. Joseph is my favourite saint and I'll never get tired talking about how awesome he is and how important his role is in the greater scheme of things. What a role model!

Every messenger our God sent already know about Jesus. They know they're preparing the way for his arrival. What so crazy about is people cannot even comprehend what Jesus Christ saying to them, They hear it, yet they refuse to accept it only because Jesus said he was the son of God. A human being who was telling the word of God and has the authority from God because he was the son.

Jesus in the temple and cliff scene is referenced in Luke 4. ❤

The scene in the temple is in scripture. Luke 4:14-30.

Also in the Bible they were going to throw him off a cliff, but Jesus walked through the crowd unharmed. In the scene, they didn't turn to look at him, almost as if they didn't see him.

@@ruthryser7777 What do you think about Jesus walking thru the crowd?
Do you think Jesus’ divine authority stopped Rafi, Aaron & Rabbi Benjamin from throwing him off the cliff? Or did they just not throw him off because they couldn’t kill their friend? I think the first.
      I’m curious your thoughts? ❤

This episode reminds me of watching a Greek tragedy. In that already knowing the outcome of the temple events doesn't make it any less painful to watch. They were so focused on their revenge against Rome and their Holier than Thou mindset that they missed the Messiah right in front of them. How often does our own pride call us to do the same thing?
Would you also be willing to clarify something for me, please? You mentioned during your post-episode rundown that you pray to Mary to ask her for intercession. I remember you said you were Catholic in an earlier video and read that some Catholics pray to the Saints in addition to God. But how does that reconcile with Romans 8:27 which says that the Spirit is the one interceding for God's people in accordance with the will of God? Not trying to attack you or anything, just genuinely confused.

Right? It's like when Nicodemus was talking to Shmuel. He was so fixated in the Torah and missed the Messiah who was right in front of him.
I'm not well versed with the Bible so I had to look up the verse you mentioned lol. The way I understand it is that the Spirit is here with us now in our generation like how God the Father was in the OT and Jesus in the NT. Holy Spirit is God so directly praying works too. As for Mary and the Saints, I think of it as having people who were the closest to Jesus interceeding for you. I mean, we ask other people to pray for us too. Why can't we ask Mary to do the same? I don't see a conflict with the verse as it doesn't tell us not to do it. I read it more as telling us to be closer to the Holy Spirit.
Thank you for the question! Don't worry about asking. This is a safe place for discussion. I'm not very good at explaining things but I hope my answer made sense. :))

Think of it this way: If Catholics should not ask those in heaven for their prayers since we can go straight to Jesus, then no Christian on earth should ask a fellow believer for his prayers. When one believer asks another for his prayers, it is not because God is too distant to listen to him. On the contrary, God is so generous he has given the body of Christ such unity that each member can pray for the others. This is a great gift, for “the prayer of a righteous man has great power in its effects” (Jas. 5:16), and the angels and saints in heaven are inarguably righteous.
