It actually takes very little time to get permanent damage if you don't blink for like 5-6 seconds straight, anywhere past 10 seconds you will go blind no doubt about it

No joke, staring at the sun is really bad for you, especially if it doesn't hurt, because it will still damage your eyes and you don't get the privilege to know when to stop. I used to stare at the sun out of boredom to watch it change colors and I cannot see anything without my glasses.
