Apparently, I am going to have to binge listen to The Black Crowes! Finally! I know who sings this song with difficult-to-follow and indecipherable lyrics! I looked for hours online the same day I heard it and thought it had to be either Johnny Lang or Kenny Wayne Shepherd but obviously was incorrect. Yep, seen that/knew that one, too. One of the arguments against it was the extra two syllables before it, which would make it, "...hard to handle and I yessir am," which is sort of clumsy. But other analyses, where it's been slowed down, also gave a lot of weight to the "around" sound versus the "am" sound at the end. We shall, perhaps, never know. :)
Musicians back in the day had respect for those that came before. People (I won't call them artists or musicians) these days can't cover a classic because they have no respect for it and just ruin it.
