I used to be so uninterested in taupe lol, but now I absolutely love the subtleties of putty and mushrooms shades! I find I am most drawn to pale taupes, and the grey side of taupe, ie less brown. I love to see comparisons too Krista 😀 like so much - it's one of my favourite things about playing with polish, exploring colour 🙂
That is so true, you just don't know what people are going through, and you certainly can't tell just by looking at us! Like, what are we supposed to look like?! Zombie green with red spots?! 😂
Exactly!!! Honestly I believe the only real experience most people have with illness is cancer. So they are looking for loss of hair, pale white, etc. Although, I do really try to always look my best even when I feel like crap. Looking the part, is half the battle. For me, anyway! 😆

I'm with Jacqueline, not a taupe fan at all. But there are some in Painted Polishes But First, Coffee Collection that intrigue me. The Matte About Mocha with gold flakies appeals.
my favorite taupe is Nirvana by Sinful Colors, although it leans more brown. I also picked up Prince Charming by Orly, which is almost a dupe for Nirvana.
I had to laugh when I saw you posted this - I just got home from buying two new taupe polishes - I am among those trying to find a dupe for Wet & Wild's now discontinued Wet Cement - love these shades and their nuances. I now have 5 different but not very shades - I think I will stop now 😂
@@restoredbypolish4591 I got Sinful Colors Prosecco (medium neutral taupe with subtle gold shimmer), Sally H Hard as Nails #570 Cemented (medium neutral) - both very nice and look good together. Previously picked SH Hard as Nails #560 Tough Taupe (more purple leaning) and SH Insta-Dry #193 Slick Slate (slightly darker slightly browner) - I like them all, you know, nuances Can't say you "need" them but I will let you be the judge At least I can use up the W&W Wet Cement I have been hoarding because I have new and very affordable options
Maybe Jacqueline needs to be challenged to create a "Terrible Taupe" polish. All I can think of when I see these taupes is what topper I'd put over them! 😂
I'm not a huge fan of taupes. I have to be extra careful as some of them give me a dead man's hand look. I have warm tones and visible blue-green veins and the darker ones make my skin look kind of dirty. Luckily I can wear burnt orange which is more fun for me. Have a nice weekend.
I think I have a similar skin tone…and yes, definitely some neutrals just make me look like death eatin’ a cracker! 😆. I think it’s a matter of finding just the right ones.

Painted Polish has a couple of coffee collections, I believe. She did one last year too! 😊

I do like the creamier lighter taupes more than the brown leaning ones. But you've got a nice range of colours there
I think I do too. But I want to give these all a shot and then I’ll pair down as necessary. Sometimes I surprise myself with what I actually like! 😊
