what are your suggestions for someone who cannot make their bento the morning that they will eat it? i have read that bentos are normally eaten at room temp but i need to prep my bento the night before and keep it in the fridge overnight to take to work the next day...even if i leave it out of the fridge until morning, it is still a bit cold by lunch and the rice isn't the best texture

Awesome vid!! I’m just curious - do mom’s make these a night before and if so does the art hold well when warming food up?
I think some items are made the night before but assembled in the box in the morning. And I think most people will eat this cold!

I recommend putting plastics wrap on the bottom of the box before placing everything and if u want to be more careful use plastic on top too :)

+Merp Derp you can only get the song on this website: amachamusic.chagasi.com/ when you get to the website, there should be a google search bar on the right, but since the website can only search in japanese I won't let you go through the pain of translating so I suggest you copy and paste this: お日様とお散歩 into the search bar and the song should be the first link that comes up in the suggestions. +Rachelle Mezack I used little meatballs that I carefully cut in half to make mine at home. You can use sausage meat as its less likely to fall apart. Hope this helps :D

It's cute but...too time consuming. I could see spending more time if it was better food but it's just the decoration part. Cooking with dog has a MUCH better bento- and half the time. Not to mention it had better food. Sausage tips and two tiny meatballs with a little asparagus won't keep you full for the school day.
I understand where you're coming from, but it's made much more the concept and visual than actual consumption.
