Great daily vlog of your life. Congratulations on completing your degree!! That is wonderful! The community you visited was so cozy and quaint. Looks like a peaceful place to live. Have a great week 😊
"she wanted someone stable, someone easy, someone who loved her but not enough to lose himself entirely." i love that line, very anxious and complex. would you be willing to give a little more context on it? like, is that character's struggle that they're clinging to vanity? surely a healthy love would help both people find themselves and no one's getting lost at all! also, all the blossoming trees and flowers are completely and pleasantly resetting the rhythms of my brain stem 😌🌸😍
Hey~ As always, it is so nice to receive a comment from you! I loved that line as well, it explains how the character grew up with a tumultuous family life and her relationships were all emotionally taxing, so once she grew up she decided that going the 'easy' way was best, where less emotions and less personality meant less to deal with, equating to a happier life. The character even mentions in the book how she decided to make herself fall in love with her husband because he is stable and mild; he does not give too much or too less and he does not do anything special or out of the ordinary for her but at the same time does not neglect her. Which makes her satisfied in the relationship. She also at one point admits she chose him because his family is rich and therefore he provides financial stability on top of mental stability. In other words, she sacrificed an emotionally-taxing 'great love' and instead settled for something mild, mind-numbing, and easy to manage thinking that it will make her happier than dealing with the intense emotions that usually come along with 'true love'. It was an interesting read for sure, I love reading about morally gray/flawed/raw characters that make you think about how people make connections in the world!
@@ArielReads_ thank you for the added context! ✨ it really is interesting understanding the factors and internal states of people that do things like drift toward easiness and numbness, and particularly interesting for me in this case is that i brought up vanity because i don't relate to, and therefore couldn't accurately imagine, the experience of a person who presents in a way where they would be used to the idea of people being attracted to them/falling in love with them. it's a bit of a self-burn, i guess, but i mean there is a reason i've put so much work into expressing myself through language! 🤭 and behind the camera i hope you're doing well and adjusting to everything nicely! 🫶🏻🧸
