"Deploy green flares on the roof of this structure to indicate you are still combat effective. We will abort our mission on direct visual contact with this countersign. This is Cujo 5-1 to friendly units in D.C. - Hammerdown is in effect. I repeat: Hammerdown is in effect. If you are receiving this transmission, you are in a hardened high-value structure"
Dunn, get the door...
DUNN!
Sarge, you hearing this?
That's why we gotta go! Now get the door!
Louie Velayo that’s some bad ass stressful shit lol
"You're looking at the highground, the Whitehouse still has power. That means we can communicate with central command. IF we can retake it, now move! Get your guys on the left flank go!"
*90 seconds to weapons release.*
Counter sign detected at whiskey hotel abort! abort!
The most imaginary but historic battle in mw2
@GDI Hahaha....oh god I hope not
I feel like they took some pages out of actual battles irl like during ww2, for example D-Day, flag raising on Iwo Jima, ect...
@@hetecks1385 Bruh, literally year earlier CoD World At War dropped with assault on Reichstag. Whiskey Hotel always felt like mix of that and Movie Rock (flares part straight from that movie).
Ramirez! Slap that like button!
Ramirez! Kill that quickscoper!
+Sap112311 Ramirez, remaster cod mw trilogy now!!!
Another settlement needs your help, Ramierez, I’ll mark it on your map go see what they need. Oh sorry wrong meme, oh come on the two memes are very similar!
Everything Hans Zimmer touches, becomes GOLD.... Amazing, Goosebumps all the Time!
+Edgar Martinez Hans Zimmer did the Ending of this Game. That's where I'm sure. Just Google it m8
+Edgar Martinez yeah, but he was the music producer for the rest of it. so he was behind Balf the whole time. Lorn Balf works for Zimmer.
Steven Schoenfelder Thanks for having my back, Mr. Schoenfelder! :=D
+Berkan2Racer no problem buddy! Hanz Zimmer is boss at scores! I love his work. and John Williams!
Pog
This music really makes you feel like you're there, fighting on the last line of defense. You are not expected to survive, you are expected to provide time for the civilians to escape.
Plus the radio chatter getting more frantic as soldiers report being overrun and desperately requesting support.
One of the best missions in cod history.
And that's my friend, is why MW1 MW2 and MW3 are the best cods. Hans Zimmer is a true master :)
MW2 has best soundtracks overall
Because it's Hans Zimmer's work.
rifleman1002 well that bryan guy did a good work in MW 3...
almost as good as hans
it could even be better in some cases
5 years later still as incorrect.
Yes it does!
@@TelAnd94 Yeah, but Zimmer did add some spice to it.
If only they included the white house as a map in MW2. :/ *sigh*
Oh, wow, that's a great idea.
John Chaser WUT? YOU WERE HERE TOO?!
I just imagine Infinity Ward team going trough the White House's halls and mapping everything.
sense you say that I think of Tom clancys splinter cell conviction
Sir Potoo true that is what I wondered
Whether people love or hate cod, the modern warfare storyline from modern warfare 1,2, and 3 is absolutely genius and incredibly put together with the dialog. Even if you think the games sucked, the story line and events in it are so good it could even be a whole fictional war movie. At least that's my opinion on the modern warfare storyline and of course, cod mw2 is my favorite cod game ever to this day. Great gameplay, music, characters, and plot.
Thumbs Up!
I liked 2s story 3 felt a bit generic but I loved the gameplay.
Yup I absolutely agree with all of that
This mission shows me, how the war in reallife could be. Still Mw2 and Mw1 are the most amazing games in the history of Cod!
Three words for you: World At War.
Mw2 is my second favorite Cod. My favorite one is Black Ops 1.
LELNO MW2 is unrealistic. No way Russia would attack the NE and they probably wouldn't but instead attack oil rigs aorund the world.
+Slendy poop on you
Slendy it's a fucking game stop being butthurts and enjoy the game btw games are not supposed to be realistic stfu already.
The DC levels are the best in CoD history other than Stalingrad in CoD1 and Point du Hoc in CoD2
we also can't forget in the big red one were your in the plane shooting the tankers and oil rigs having to changes sides
A lot of the cod4 and COD WAW levels were fantastic Imo! Their whole campaigns!
+ Pripyat
And awesome atmosphere in 1-st SAS mission on MW1
Ramirez, raise the volmue on this video !
I ALREADY DID SIR!
"30 seconds! We've got to get to the roof now!"
"We're taking a field trip to Washington DC!"
Girls: Ughh! Do we have to?!
Boys:... Oo'rah
Take the white house boys
"Come on boys were going to the left flank!"
*Now Get Your Squad Moving Up The Left Flank!*
marhonek47 every time he said that and we step out onto the battlefield, I like the music when it swells and gets dramatic with the reveal that the White House is now lost and the Russians are currently whooping U.S's ass.
Cosmic Space Bub they weren’t really. It was more of a stalemate with each side suffering enormous losses.
You are a bold one yeah the Yanks would have one eventually due to naval superiority and more ground forces due east.
Everytime he said that and I saw the remains of the Whitehouse with the music swelling in the background, I truly felt like it was our last ditch desperate attempt to survive.
And we're going to Washington DC to take back the whitehouse!!....... YAAAAHH!
+SeriosG78 hahahaaha
Probably the best out of the MW2's Motion Soundtrack. Perfectly-fitting music with all the concitate moments from the Campaign. Magic like these don't happen these days and I don't think they ever will anytime soon.
Vylkeer Don't forget to mention the "Invasion" soundtrack from MW2!
This song really suits the scene that it was paired with. The sense of hopelessness, the sense that all is lost, is conveyed so well in this song.
the most epic cod soundtrack ever
The soundtrack is actually by Lorne Balfe mostly
this has to be my favorite song I remember this mission especially when you get to the helo and it goes down and your stuck sitting there holding off as many as you can it was soo good
This game was too epic.
There was absolutely no down time. Every moment was so over the top and had such a suspenseful, on edge feel. Hans Zimmer's scores only take the games epic scale and make it even larger.
I really dont like COD but god I love MW2
***** True dat
idot
@@rainbowdash9139 Wow, you're rude
@@rainbowdash9139 what he’s an idiot because he doesn’t like cod? Stfu opinions exist
@@alexmcdowall9562 yeah, opinion exist
"Hammer Down is in effect, I repeat Hammer Down is in effect..."
Omg
11 years and this aged like fine wine
They just don't make games like this one anymore
LMAO!!!!!
+underlordd its true tho.
Josh B they do make games like they used to...just with shittier everything...same tactics yaknow
In fact, they did like eleven MW2, they just sold it under another title.
Mw2 was and still is the most expensive COD ever made. That was back when they still cared. Cod4 to mw2 was the biggest leap of gameplay to COD.
I love the beginning. It's incredibly epic and fit in with the ominous mood.
Yeah its amazing
I'm imaging that Putin listen to this while he's entering his office.
*W I D E W H I T E H O U S E B A T T L E*
end of mw2...
Ramirez:Finally i can rest...
Foley:RAMIREZ! bring my wife for a pregnancy test...we had fun last nite...and after that...shower my dog
Ramirez:uh fuck...
are u still alive
Then go defend Burgertown
I always get tears in my eyes when I hear this song.
RAMIREZ!!! HOSTILES SPOTTED BY THE BURGER TOWN!!!
This is Hunter 2-1 actual you got twenty plus foot mobiles advancing on burger town advise switching to thermal optics.
Strahinja Preradovic "Enemy fast movers! Take cover!" -Sgt. Foley
Niko Vorzaliki 'Nice one Hunter 2-1, 10+ KIA'
PandaTurtleCat HD
"Be advised! Our Predator is offline! I repeat, The predator is offline!"
Niko Vorzaliki
''Hunter 2-1 Actual this is Overlord you have 9000+ foot mobiles on your way advise switching to thermal optics over''
Mw2 Remastered please
That would be awesome but imagine if treyarch remastered WaW.
Cod4 remastered comes with shitty infinite warfare which nobody likes
WaW Remastered probably comes with your future BLACK OPS 4 based in like the 100th century
MW2 Remastered comes with a game where star wars looks like the medieval times
Maikosaki Itchaki MW2 looked fine the way it is now.
Maikosaki Itchaki times are changed my friend, this time cod is making a payback with codww2.
Play IW4X instead, it's a free mw2 mod which contains tons of extra shit like guns, maps etc.

...I can't describe how much this song can describe for the whitehouse battle. Seriously, this perfectly fits the theme. And the bits of Ranger victory/defeat/spawn themes mixed inside makes it even better.
This aged well
2024 and still here !
mw2 is nostalgia by now and those who thought it was a kids game back then are in their 30s
RAMİREZ!
man i loved that part in the mission, that you run around the battlefield and you see all those soldiers die, and you have to storm the white house with this part of the song 0:00
Not to be weird or anything but just listen to this while reading a news article about the Ukraine/Russia crisis. It kind of goes along with it...
Thinking the same.
Russia is pretty poor and with the sanctions not surprised a civil war will erupt in the next few years. If that shit goes down who knows what kind of radical groups will spawn. US military enlistment will probable decrease and military size after the afghan war winds down in the end of the year. And dont forget the Middle East going to shit again with ISIS in Syria and Iraq, Gaza and Israel.
With the global warming now past the point of no return and the world starting to go up in flames, it fits everywhere.
Hanz Zimmer is god, litterally, i'm in love with the music
So, when are we going to Moscow guys?
“Not soon enough.”
"But I know we're gonna burn it down when we do"
Nothing will ever Top this first time playing it was like wow dope
Teacher: we are going to the white house!
Girls: omg its going to be so boring
Boys:
“Get to the whiskey hotel, go!”
USA right now
More like right now
Such a good soundtrack, the adrenaline as you raced to the top of the whitehouse was brilliant!
fitting for current events
Why is this the only MW2 song I couldn’t find in the Spotify MW2 soundtrack? It’s arguable the best song from the game!
Overlord: Hunter two-one we got enemy software approaching release date, code name: B-F-3. over.
Sgt. Foley: Ramirez! (finishes drinking soda) find a way into the physical world and Eliminate frostbite studios with this soda can!
this song it's fantastic, i love it!!! hans zimmer you are brilliant!!!
Had this playing in my head when the MAGA crowd stormed the Capitol
Fucking same😂😂😂
when will gaming company's learn that the sound is half the game that's why i found modern warfare 2 so epic.. GOOD JOB HANS ZIMMER
Please infinity ward. Save cod.
Nah unless they rip infinite warfare
Dead since ghosts don't think it will ever be back to how it was when we knew it.
+007spudman Ghosts was the last good COD call me dumb but it had a good followable story the mechanics for it worked *leaning* and the customization was in depth.
Now it's too late... DANGIT INFINITY WARD!!!!!
Sledgehammer helped make MW3... maybe they can do it with they're game said to be set in the past... that's at least what Charlie Intel said...
Cujorazornova
You mean Titanfall 4? Right?
Black Ops 3 - Titanfall 3
i could not imagine listening to this great song without ghost beside me

So Sit back, relax and enjoy the music, it’s pretty epic I have to say. And let me know what you think!
Semper Fi - Marc Tatossian
Nooooo one cares. Call of duty stopped being any good after this one. And no other soundtrack will top Modern warfare 2..
Joe VanZalen becauSe mein Zimmer iSt a GeniuS
+Joe VanZalen WHAT ABOUT b01???
Hearing this song makes me want to charge into a battle where the odds are stacks against us
More like Battle for Kiev. Stand strong Ukraine!
How about battle for America? Loser.
I love Washington, D.C. chapter. My favorite one but very tough and difficult. Favela was a nightmare!!
When the Trump supporters strom the Capitol
There’s no competition. When it comes to any COD game this one reigns supreme
My favorites are Black Ops 1 and WWII.
I just played the game last week and i'm already hooked for MW3. At first I didn't get the game for nearly two years because i wasn't mush for the modern warfare, and prefered World at War and Black Ops just because of my interest in history. But now that i've played it. I kinda like it.
The first modern warfare, not so much and i played that one too. I think its back to gamestop with that one. I am keeping MW2 and already pre-ordered MW3.
“Your looking at the high ground sergeant! There’s still power in the White House! Which means we can still talk to central command! If we can retake it! Now get your squad moving up the left flank! Go!”
I loved seeing a Colonel in the game. We don't get to see many commissioned officers other than Generals or Lieutenants so having a Colonel there giving your Sergeant orders was a lovely sight.
Someday, I want to get enough money to have Hans Zimmer make a soundtrack for me. It'd be so awesome :D
Good luck with that.
Pretty amazing the composer Hans Zimmer who made this, also made various tracks for movies like the Lion King, The Last Samurai or Pirates of the Caribbean to just name a few.
*liked the video.
*added to favourites.
Hans Zimmer is the fucking man. Modern Warfare 2, Batman Begins, The Dark Knight, Inception, Black Hawk Down, etc. I hope he comes back to score Modern Warfare 3 and I can't wait to hear the soundtrack for The Dark Knight Rises.
The music in modern warfare is allways epic. I love it.
"When you neutralize the threat, you launch green flares and wait for the calevery!!"
one of the best bits of the game ...
"Hammerdown is in effect, repeat, hammerdown is in effect"
Foley: Dunn get the door!……DUUNNN!
Dunn: Sgt are you hearing his?
Foley: THAT’S WHY WE GOTTA GO NOW GET THE DOOR!
any friendly units in D.C, operation hammer down is in effect, i repeat, hammer down is in effect.
if you are receiving this transmission you are in a high value structure. deploy green flares to the roof of this structure to indicate you are still combat effective. we will abort weapons release on direct visual contact with this countersign.
Brilliant music, proper 'ups' the tension as you race to the top of the WH to avoid being blown to smitheriens!
Amen. MW3 felt like no soul had been put into it.
the only games I can play over and over again without being bored are CODMW2, MGS 3 4 & 5, Zelda Ocarina of Time, Uncharted 2 & 3 , & Bioshock 1.
You forgot Final Fantasy
Legend Seeker for me it’s DayZ, CODMW3, and Half-Life 2
hans zimmer is one of the most brilliant composers ive ever seen man when god made him i bet in his mind he was thinking im gonna make this guy extra bad ass
I love this theme, it's the best. If I was high playing this part of the game, I know I woulkd cry just because of the music lol.
I always get goosebumps listening to this.
5 years ago , Call of duty became the Great Bloodiest Battle Game In A blink of an eye.
And the World Just Fucking Played!
“You’re looking at the high ground sergeant”
of their own accord had the most epic looking environment, especially when you first leave the bunker
Take a look at the MW2 soundtrack cover on google. Its says: Main Themes by Hans Zimmer, in other words, Hans Zimmer composed the main theme and a couple of other key themes. Lorne Balfe did the score: he wrote most of the soundtrack. And people tend to just assume that Hans Zimmer is responsible for the whole soundtrack.
"Hammer down protocol T-Minus 15 seconds"
"15 SECONDS, WE GOTTA MOVE!"
hell yeah the music is great on the begining when you leave teh bunker
"We have tangos in the whitehouse windows. 7 RPGS and unknown numbers of ground units, we are suffering heavy casualties near the washington monument! I repeat, heavy casualties both civilian and military! Be advised hostile APC's inbound on the whitehouse western wing!"
If they made an album with the music from MW2 composed by Hans Zimmer, boy would I buy it...
Lol, its the only Zimmers soundtrack without BADUM sound. And its totally awesome
This song really needs to be played at the intro to mw3
Things most of you may not know:
Hans Zimmer composed only the main theme of MW2. Lorne Balfe composed the rest of it, but still using Zimmer's typical orchestra as well as his input.
And yes, it is one of the best video game soundtracks in recent times.
Hans Zimmer is the biggest boss of all time. Him versus Chuck Norris would be epic, but the world would end.
"Sarge you hearin this?"
"THATS WHY WE GOTTA GO, NOW GET THE DOOR!!!"
Hans Zimmer is a legend
"NOW GET YOUR SQUAD MOVING ON THE LEFT FLANK GO!!"
In some strange way, it wasn't until the White House battle that I realized just how serious the American invasion was in this game. Simply stunning! Great series! And yes, I mean ALL of them.
i had this on xbox360 when it first came out and it was really good
When you abort the bombing with green flares, and look out over DC to see more green flares all over the place to show that the city is still in American hands: One of the hidden emotional moments for me.
i wake up to this in the morning and it just sets me up for a great day!!
Can you just imagine the intro music for a meeting? Wow...
you deserve a medal for that one XD
I missed this game so much. Including story mode and multiplayer :(
I remember when I first played this, I was sort of mind blown seeing the white house and these landmarks that were symbolized with the power of the United States become this catastrophic devasting battlefield, and seeing the white house torn apart, in flames while the sky was glowing an eerie red taught me that nations that seemed so powerful could be destroyed and killed within a matter of days/weeks.
Absolutey The best modern warfer and the story is the most realistic
