since the day DBS took over posb bank in 1998 , imaging that posb is peoples bank, yet, DBS careless that they charge to POSB saving account $2 for amount less than $500. Singapreans are using posb GIRO to pay utility and others govt bills . And DBS CEO from India implemented the charge based on running cost basis. Recently, they cut down the ATM machine in shopping malls , eg Nex , could not find ATM except at 2nd floor their branch office. All others OCBC or UOB have ATM machines all over the NEX mall from B2 to level 4. Crazy DBS right? Ya, the said CEO does not care about customer experience , only cost in PL statement and his big fat bonus. I feedback to DBS few times for the past 15 years without any responses from them also.

DBS is like SMRT when their service lines broken down in 2014. Caused by then the CEO was cutting operations cost by hiring technical guys from oversea example China for cheaper labour cost for replacing singaporean engineers with degrees. Once the CEOs have one mindset which is focus on PL statement of which related to their Bonus, then, we Singaporeans would have to bear the cost for these CEOs liao.
Luckily then SMRT was taken over by govt to avoid further disruption. 2023, MAS steps in to stop DBS keeps doing such bad services on Singaporens saving account ( mostly from POSB which is not commercial bank). I think MAS should consider separate the CEO for managing DBS and POSB. Because, DBS and POSB are two totally different mission statement per se.

This "incumbent" is complacent and just sleeping on the job. The other 2 biggest bank UOB and OCBC down times are way fewer, can't remember the last time they have problems, that's how far apart the down times are. DBS gives the most unreliable bank service in singapore.

The Singaporean government had known about Chinese 🇨🇳 money laundering organizations operating in Singapore 🇸🇬 for a long time but *quietly looked the other way.*
    - Singapore only started investigating them when there were reports circulating around in the West.
