The scenery is beautiful. Thanks for sharing. Maybe Chevy Man would be willing to drive by his childhood home sometime?
Hi Tessie, I am happy you got to go home today. ❤ Nothing like reminiscing of days gone by.
What a lovely day, Tessie. These are the kinds of days and trips that fill up and refresh our spirits. Family Life looks like a wonderful publication; I’m glad you found so many of them. ☺️
I'm glad you got to go home Tessie. Thank you for sharing. Prayers for your quick recovery.😊❤
I'm so glad you got to go home for a visit! There is nothing like being in the place where you grew from a child to a woman!
Beautiful scenery
I grew up 1000 miles from where I live now, since I married. I love going to visit the places around my home town.
I grew up near Pathway Publishing and Amish owned and run publishing company. They used to have a little shop attached to print shop. I would visit it occasionally. I’m sure the little book shop you went to carries books they publish.
My parents both passed 3 years ago and I haven’t been back since.
Hi Tessie. Thank you for sharing your travels. ❤
Tessie, So glad you got to see your childhood home again praying for you :-)
Hi Owen!
Good evening Owen
@@juliewebber2749 Good evening Julie Webber :-)
This was a very sweet video. I'm glad you got to go home for a visit!❤❤❤
What a blessing to be able to go home and reminisce. Thank you for sharing your books very nice too!
Your yard is so beautiful!
Praying for u. Get well soon.
When I was still fully living in PA, I lived in just outside of Ephrata, went to town there about every other day..I loved living there! Everyone is so nice. Then we moved to Holtwood ,Lancaster county..I am in levittown PA for last 6 months getting cancer treatments at Fox Chase in Philly, great cancer center!! I miss living in those areas out there, thank you for showing! It was so nice..I do miss thr thrift stores up that way ,Fla.thrift stores not so great. But I have learned to enjoy where I live, no matter where I live. Love seeing the views of countryside !!
You are in my prayers. May God heal you of your cancer.
Praying For You grammiespieface1 🙏,
GOD Bless, Andrea
Prayers and peace through your journey. Blessings
I still long for the simpler days gone by ❤
We were just at Ephrata for a few days at refreshing mountain retreat center. I thought of you while we were out there. I saw this bookstore as we drove by and I’m so sorry I didn’t stop. I love the family life magazine. We have Amish friends from Quarryville, who introduced us to that magazine. My other favorite is keepersof the home or keepers at home I can’t remember the exact name. Ephrata is one of my favorite places to do my thrift shopping in and just driving around is just so peaceful. So glad you had a great treasure hunt at the bookstore.
It's been awhile since we took a subscription to the Family Life!
Tessie glad you had a good visit.
I grew up in a 1971 mobile home. My mother sold it after my Daddy passed away. The new owners let it go down hill and it breaks my heart to see it now. I don’t go back very often. I can’t bear the heartbreak
My parents are both in their 80's and the thought of losing them and my childhood home lingers in my mind. It will be so unbelievably hard to let them go but I'm reminded by our Lord and savior Jesus Christ that he knows best and that our time apart will only be temporary. I'm crying as I write this because the inevitability of it and the preciousness of God's promise. God gave us our memories. And that is such a beautiful gift. ❤
You are blessed.I lost my dad at twenty-three and my mom at forty-four.
@@suesmith776 I'm so sorry. I have definitely been very very blessed.
@jaxxmariecambridge5212 Oh I didn't mean to sound like I was attacking you or anything! I know there are people that have lost their parents even earlier than me. We just have to accept that this was God's will for us. That sounds like you appreciate your parents!
You and I have a lot in common. I feel the same way. Even though I was not raised through my teen years in Ohio, I was born there, and I remember my young childhood there. We also returned there for family reunions. Love this. Thank you. I don't feel so alone now. God love you!
Beautiful scenery. Home sweet home. You are set for reading for awhile. I’m glad you had a great day. Have a great evening everyone!
Hello Julie😊,
Tessie's Journey Was Beautiful Wasn't It! Hope That You Have A Great Evening My Friend,
Blessings, Andrea
Tessie I'm thankful hubby took you back to your roots.❤ I too long for that...but unfortunately those day's are over for me too. ❤
Glad you got to go home and get out a bit. Thanks for sharing. I miss that area seeing the farms and beautiful homes and towns so much. I houi can get able to go there again one day. Have a blessed day friend
Enjoyed the drive. Never can have enough reading material. Thanks for the video.
Beautiful place, love the view. Thanks for sharing and taking us along.
Great memories and beautiful scenery.❤
Makes me homesick for my native Ohio! God bless, dearheart.
Beautiful opening and words!! I am glad you got to take a day and just go home and enjoy! ❤ Very sweet. It does make a beautiful community and makes us stronger.
I understand that pull of wanting to go back to the place of your childhood memories. I'm happy for you that you got to go and had such a nice time. It sure looked like a lovely day for a drive!😊
Tessie, I Think We All Have Times In Our Lives When We Have A Longing For The Past.
I Believe It's A Need For A Feeling Of Comfort And Safety And For The Child In Us To Be Told ' EVERYTHING WILL BE OK'. Those Memories-- Tell Us That Dear Friend, And Everything WILL Be Ok🤗.
GOD Has Got This Tessie,
Bless You, Andrea
Yes old memories are the best. Have a great evening Andrea my friend.
Wonderful day for you and Hubby. Feel better soon.
I haven't been to my childhood home in many years and probably will not be able to, its too far away. But I sure enjoyed seeing your road trip today. You got some really good reading materials for this winter! Hope you're feeling better each day. Have a blessed evening. ❤❤❤❤😊😊
That Journaling book looked like a book to learn how to write penmanship lessons, either script or print. Glad you got to go to your childhood town and got to see your old house!😊❤
I live about 20 minutes from my childhood home and I love to go past my old home. I've lived 53 years in my present home where I raised my children. But my childhood home will always have a place in my heart. 😊
I do the same thing Tessie. I grew up in WI in a large city. For me I drive by and memories do flood my mind and heart. The problem is that it has been sold twice after my parents moved out and the current owners really don't take care of it like my parents did. My mom and dad did take pride in their home and probably because it was built by my dad. It was a smaller Cape Cod and 6 people lived there, but oh the wonderful memories. I enjoyed your story about your relative biking down to the book store. That was so nice of Kimberly to gift you that wonderful day. It was fun for me as well.
Thanks for the nice ride ,❤❤❤
Your home town is beautiful Tessie ❤️❤️❤️❤️
Thank you for sharing

Lucky you still have your childhood home still there my childhood home has been pulled down new town home built
I’m thankful I got to get a glimpse of your background. Hope you’re healing well. Thinking of you. A+ ❤️🩹
My mom passed a couple years back. We moved 6 times so there isn't any special memories connected to any of them. 12 moves as a wife in 50 years. I really miss the area i grew up! I'm not able to travel and pretty much a shut in at this point in my life. I wish i could make one more trip home.
People don't talk about personal finances with others, generally. But it is seen grouped up in financial data. People are really fairly poor, although they also tend to spend a lot on desires too resulting in little to show for it😅
You being out of debt with assets and savings makes you wealthier than a very large percentage of the population. Truly blessed in that regard, keep doing what you're doing because it's working!
Love your Videos. Ty for sharing. Love your Road Trips and also the Shopping Trips. I love the state of Pennsylvania. I live in North Florida. Not far from the Florida Georgia State Line. We still have some warm weather here and there. If you also could keep me and my family in your prayers. I really would appreciate it. Ty so much. :)
Tessy I am 56 years old I will never see my 80 year old mum my sister's cousins home were I grew up but I am extremely blessed
I would do love to visit my childhood home 🏡 but I love so far Away now. Tessie you grew up in a beautiful home. I am glad you had a nice day.❤❤
I also drive by my Dads old farm when I am in that area.

Tess, your styling today🎉
It's pretty much it as we age we think back at our home routes were we came from funny as we're young we can't wait to grow up leave home hey
I love going home went there yesterday but to my brothers celebration of life not the best reason to go home
It’s nice to go home. Once your parents are gone it feels like the heart is missing. I am not able to go home to see my siblings very often. That’s the downside of moving away
Hey sweetie. Have you ever heard of moringa oleifera. The tree of life. All parts of the tree for medicinal. I know you are into that so I wanted to ask.
❤
Does Kenny ever want to go back to where he grew up, or visit his family or area?
