Fields is a very humble person, he will not pat himself on the back, that's why he said he did not do enough. He did what they asked him to do and that was manage the game. He is a great player. I will be his fan wherever he land. Go look at all of his films and you will see what he can and will do if given a reigns off chance. Let him ball out!!!

@ladwyinaslater5911 He has ZERO reason to pat himself on the back!! With a career record of 17-33 and double-digit fumbles every year he's been in the league, except for this year, because he only played 6 games? Yeah, those are the stats of a "great player"! (Sarcasm) Oh yeah, he had 6 fumbles in those 6 games,so he was on pace for yet ANOTHER double-digit fumble season. His mechanics, on field vision, ability to read a defense, and more often than not, his accuracy are absolute dog 💩!!!! His career passer rating is something like 83.7!!! An AVERAGE starting QB has a passer rating of 90-95, above average 95-100, and your elite QBs are over 100!!!! Yep, he's a "great player " alright!!!!🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 I'm sorry, but, I would like a QB that doesn't put the ball on the ground more than a line judge!!! QBs that just "manage games" don't win championships!!!!

Big facts and he is the franchise QB of the Steelers, they act like he’s old when he’s 25 years old and younger get then most of the QBs drafted in the last 2 drafts, he’s younger then Kenny Pickett and was in the league 2 years before him in a bad situation and now everyone tears him down like it was his fault, yet they say he got all the talent in the world but yet they look at him as a bridge QB so I’m confused on that analogy because it doesn’t make since at all but most of Pittsburgh media don’t know what there talking about and what’s crazy is there around these people and still are clueless when it comes to talent 😂

@@JamesBlackburn-p4r he was given a shot for 4 seasons and he still can't get the ball from under center without the threat of fumbling. If you still have to teach him after 4 seasons. You'll be better off getting a rookie QB out of the draft. The Steelers want a SB now. And the only QB that give them that chance is Russ. Give him the pass protection he needs (every QB needs) more than one weapon at WR and a genuine power back with speed. Again that will call for better Oline play in run blocking. The Steelers Oline was ranked I believe 26 or 28th. The L&R tackles both double digit sacks. Broderick and Daniel's were awful. Either sacks or holding penalties. Awful

Jalen Hurts averages 130 yards passing and has the luxury of Shaquan Barkley tearing up the opposition. If we had that we could be very hard to beat very fast. If Aston Jeantry is available 2 trades before Cincinnati picks we need to trade up as Cincinnati wants him real bad to pair with Joe Burrow in his prime. Benjamin Morrison from ND is a good versatile CB. All-American who missed the last half of the season. Likely dropped a bit in the draft too because of hip surgery. Supposedly surgery timed to shut down his season early and make the combine? Not 100% on that though. 4.3 something 40 and 6’ around 200 lbs.

@@chrisberkebile3366 I'm not sure that I agree with you. Kahn and Weidl have really made changes to this team. For some years, prior to them being here, the o-line really wasn't addressed. Not unless you consider third and fourth and even fifth round talents to be our starters on the line. Not to mention, our last great d-line duo was when we still had Tuitt as well as Heyward. When was the last time this team used early round picks to get a talented defensive lineman. That wasn't until after Colbert retired when we got Benton. Ogunjobi should have never got a second contract with us. But because he never addressed it with a quality guy, we still have him on the roster. Basically I'm saying that Kahn and Weidl have found some quality talent in such a short time frame.
Edit: I think that this team is closer to the finish line than you might think. And with the right acquisitions in the off-season both draft and free agency, maybe we could have a chance to get our next franchise QB next year and be legitimate contenders.

Especially in the AFC Josh Allen and Lamar Jackson can’t get over the hump of Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs now if they were in the NFC, they probably both would’ve been to the Super Bowl already. JF makes the most sense. Would love to see Wilsin go to the raiders and then convince them to give us their 2026 #1 for GP. Then draft Embuke out of OSU, sign a Chris Godwin or Kirk, add in Roman Wilson and run some crossing routes over the middle for a change. If the JF experiment doesn't work out, you are set up with two #1's for the draft that Pittsburgh hosts for their franchise QB if needed.

DL, WR, CB, RB, WR, CB, DT, QB.
I can honestly see any of the positions in picks 1-4 going in any order, minus RB which I don’t think they’ll select any earlier than with the 3rd pick.
Sampson out of TN and Gordon II out of OK State may be available for pick 4 and both are legit 3 down backs with power, vision and burst to spare
Quality wise, there’s a drop off with WR after 2nd pick and I’m talking elite playmakers, automatic WR1/WR2 types to pair opposite Pickens (if he stays)
I don’t see that’s the case with the CB group. Players like Mello Dotson out of Kansas and Zy Alexander out of LSU, for example seem to be both starter, man-press capable studs and should be available at pick 3.
I don’t really care if they wait and select a DL with the 3rd or even the 4th pick, which would be a stretch, but they can’t wait again like last year’s draft. They need a legit starting NT ASAP.

Additionally, adding another young CB is a cheap longer term solution. Imagine Trice is the 3rd guy behind an island CB like Shavon Revel JR and Joey Porter JR. I like Bishop but I think adding 1 more CB would be good and there are some great ones in the draft as opposed to the money we need to spend for a top corner in FA with needs still at QB and WR. I'd rather pay Higgins and Fields than go get a DJ Reed.

I think you're being a bit disingenuous about Russ. In reference to the 5games. You can not mention those 5 losses without mentioning how poor the defence had played in those games and how many points they gave up. You also can not mention the losses without mentioning the lack of weapons the STEELERS has at WR position. You can not mention the losses without mentioning the awful O-line play. Russell Wilson if you really analyze the season was put in the same position he was in at DENVER. To play hero ball. Expecting him to win with his arm. Justin isn't it. Sorry. The Steelers do the opposite of Moneybag. They overpay linebackers, DT's and safeties which are not premium positions, and they even pay guys that don't produce. Then they pay nothing to QB, corner, Left Tackle, and WR which are the premium positions. Steelers could have 11 pro-bowlers on defense and Mahomes would still beat them. You have to build a team that can score points.

Fields needs to go to a team with a QB whisperer. And the Steelers don’t have that. Or do they? There isn’t going to be any rebuilds in Pittsburgh next season or the next. They are retooling. We know that there are several veterans on defense that are getting paid a lot of money. And if they are all coming back, the Steelers need to go for players in Free Agency and the draft to help the positions of need (DT, RB, WR, CB, OL depth) that they need to try and contend. So it only stands to reason that they give it another shot with Wilson, or another veteran starting caliber QB. Because Fields isn’t gonna be the Hurts (game manager) that they need more than everyone thinks Wilson won’t or can’t be. You don’t just suddenly forget how to put up 28-35 points. Like wtf?

They aren’t gonna go with Fields if they aren’t sold on him and it appears that they aren’t sold on him.

The reason why the passing game opened up is because Tomlin didn’t trust fields enough so he didn’t allow Arthur smith to call certain plays. Then when Russ came in tomlin allowed the entire offense to open up. Yes when you have gp he’s winning 90% of jump balls that doesn’t make russel Wilson good wtf. The running game started going downhill and the defense started going downhill because Russ can’t drive the ball down the field he is trash and if you disagree you know absolutely nothing.
