I made one today (6/19/23). Nice little project. My pallet was a bit rough so it took a few hours to get it up to snuff, and I skipped the drawers as I don't need them, but all in all, pretty cool, especially for free. Thanks for the great how-to video. Happy Juneteenth Day to all in the US!
@@sheenascott5405 I did. Assuming the "2x4's" in the pallet are indeed standard 2x4's, then the total thickness will be 3.5" plus .5" or .75" for the slat on each side. So either 4.5" or 5" total. Setting the saw at full depth will do the trick. Of course, be careful as it's your first time using the saw, always keep those fingers away from the blade, let the blade stop before reaching for it after each cut, and it can't hurt to make some practice cuts on some waste pieces of wood first to get a feel for the saw. Last, if you have clamps, you can clamp a straight edge board or 4" level to the pallet to guide the saw. In the video, he doesn't use clamps on the straight edge. Good luck!

Hi. Places that refurbished used pallets and send them down to make him look that way he can music purchase them from anywhere from five to seven dollars a piece. Lot of scrappers go around picking the used ones up and taken on the beach place to sell him for a couple bucks and they end up seeing them down and fix them and then reselling
I find very clean pallets on Craigslist (for free) pretty often, actually.. but I do agree, I noticed just how clean this one was and thought it was odd. It looks brand new. I assumed he cleaned it up a bit before recording.
That's why you need a bunch of them so you can salvage the good pieces. But the pallets he is using are all brand new you can tell. He probably purchased them because they are way to perfect to be free or used.
I have so many different methods of money house for someone else nahhhh I'm gonna make a whole bunch of stuff and work it until it fine garage quaility my garage will be full of practice work furniture i made so much last time it was spring to fall 🍁:)
It's a shame that you didn't show how or where all of the ripped timber lengths came from. That part alone would be more than 50% of the time spent on the total build. And there was some timber in the build that definitely didn't come from a pallet. Makes it hard to call this a pallet workbench.

Very Nice, although I would have gone for Flush Ring Pull type hanldles as I would catch my trowser pockets all teh time.

It's bs. Plus he didn't show the giant table saw he would have to have to rip those long strips he put between the slats.
