I'm sorry but the people in the comments don't seem to know anything about modeling. I love her, but when you model clothes you are there to do one thing. Model the clothes. You're not supposed to do all kinds of movements or poses because it's distracting, and it takes people's attention away from the clothes. It's not about the model, it's about the fashion that's being modeled. When someone has an "expressionless" look on their face and just walks without doing silly poses, people will pay attention to the clothes for the most part. That's how it's supposed to be done. No hate, I'm just saying.
This is so true but you have to consider that certain designers ask models to act a certain way to convey the brand’s/collection’s mood and themes, sometimes its expressionless with simple movements, as you said, but sometimes it more fierce with more hips and powerful walks and designers sometimes may ask models to smile and show more personality. Look at victoria secret VS gucci, for example: victoria secret models tend to blow kisses, laugh and smile whereas gucci keeps it more simple and lowkey. This is because of the different marketing strategies. This might be a reason for zendayas modelling or it could just be that zendaya wants what zendaya gets, they are just happy shes modelling for them, who knows?
