What a cool daughter you have there. Here in the States, most youth her age are not as willing to get out of they zone of comfort, as she seems to be open to. Who knows ... .in a few years there is the Lands End to john O'Groats for adventurers such as she. That's going to cost you in gear. ;) I see that you have the anodized version of the Trangia. That looks really nice. I didn't know about the wick trick, so thanks for the tip.
Sorry this comment only just showed up. Thank you for watching. Yeah emily is an amazing girl and loves the adventures. The trangia is brilliant, I really need to use it more :) all the best
Hello Happy new year lovely to meet you all loved your video realy good awsome scenery lots fun done realy great going up that distance 🙂🙂🙂🙂🥰🥰🥰🥰🤗🤗🤗🤗😂🤣😅
Nice to see the young ones out and about in the mountains. 22kgs is a fair amount to carry !! I have that much for a 3-day tramp. Congrats to your daughter for wanting to join you, it's hard to get the young interested in tramping. Enjoyed the video. ATB Cheers from the mountains of NZ 😀😀
Thanks brother. My bag is always heavier when I go with the daughter as I put little light items in hers and I take all the heavy stuff so two mats, 2 sleeping bags, tent, water for 2 etc as we don't have a filter yet 🤣 thanks for watching and glad you enjoyed. All the best 👍
Nice that mate👍👍👍. Great to get your daughter out and respect to her for just doing it. My 14 year daughter would love it but I’d have to drag her to start and then put earplugs in as she hates the walking😂😂😂
Cheers brother. Super proud of her especially with it being winter but she's tougher than me to be fair haha 😄 ah yeah I watched your summer camping video with your daughter in and trying to get Blue to swim, was a really good video. 👍
@@BUSHMANandBLUE its really great to have that extra dynamic mate, it gives a whole new vibe to change up the solo camps. I got the girls a kayak for Xmas so we will hopefully do some loch island camps too

Haha brilliant mate, it's excellent quality time. I've had to buy a proper 4 season 2 person tent now so we are looking forward to thr next - and hopefully higher altitude - camp out 🙌😁
Haha thanks mate, I'm definitely no Gordon Ramsey on the Trangia just yet but it's a cool bit of kit. All the best to you too sir and thank you for watching 😊🙌

Brilliant Dad & daughter adventure! Enjoyed every minute of it and appreciate your effort to carry all that stuff up the hills and filming. You had a beautiful morning up there. Been only once in Lake district for a quick visit, it's a long drive for me. But that was in summer and so busy. Perhaps it is a good idea to go in winter as you did. It's good for both you and your daughter to go out for overnight trip like this..Unfortunately not many parents are doing this as it is an extra effort.. Second January was a lovely day here too, I took my son, his friend and our dogs up to the hills here in Scotland where we live for a wee overnight bothy trip. Not a long walk but it was snow everywhere up there and hard to walk in. I have a daughter too in age of yours and she often used to go with me out too but recently it has been hard for me to motivate her and she hasn't been out with me for a while. However she saw me watching your film now and mentioned herself that we could go for some outdoor trip together again sometimes..🙂 Well done to you both! ATB Jonas

Lovely wild camp mate. You are so lucky to get your daughter out with you. I'm trying to get my 11 year old to come out with me in the Spring/Summer for one. She hates walking, so not sure I'll be successful though. 😂
Thanks mate. I have an olfer daughter who doesn't like the walk either or the cold so in summer im hoping to entice her into a lower level camp in the lakes possibly a tarn camp. Might be a good place to start with the little one. Or possibly even a woodland camp which are equally as brilliant 😊
Really enjoyed that Andy. Looked like all 3 of you really enjoyed it. What beautiful calm morning. I’m a big trangia fan but never thought of cooking corned beef hash on it.
