Don't hate most of the new ones, they got a cartoony vibe that's kinda cool, but I don't know. Tim Jacobus just has this way of creating an atmosphere like many have said. A lot of them sort of give me like liminal space vibes. Like I shouldn't be seeing the picture. That and then the plain, formatted text at the bottom just makes it feel weird to me. He gets beat in a couple, like the Scarecrow Walks at Midnight, because, while not scary, Dorman's just looks sick. But it being a horror series, Jabus knew what he was doing.
Attack of the Graveyard Ghouls is definitely the best and most scary of all of the covers, I definitely like the appearance of the ghouls and how much they are modeled after the one zombie from Return of the Living Dead. Personally, I've never seen this cover, I read an assortment of classic era Goosebumps books, some that were the originals, and some that were with the reissues with the new covers, I've definitely always preferred the classic ones- Especially Say Cheese and Die.
Most of Jacobus' covers are creepier. But for a decent number of them (Be Careful What You Wish For, Deep Trouble, Scarecrow Walks At Midnight, A Shocker on Shock Street, Haunted Mask II, The Haunted Car) Dorman has got him beat.

I like how you gave your thoughts on each cover. Some of the 2003-2007 reprints have the same covers as the first prints. The classic cover of the Werewolf of Fever Swamp looks more scary with the werewolf standing on his hind legs.

I grew up with the early Brandon Dorman covers, though I was mainly bothered about the Horrorland series. That was the MCU of children's horror fiction.
I think the only reason why the book covers changed was to make it more “kid friendly” like stay out of the basement the old cover was so realistic and VERY SCARY
Tim’s work is much superior than Brandon’s. Tim’s weakest would be Stay out of the basement but even I found it pretty cool. Brandon does a great job in attracting the target audience (children) with the cartoony look. Both did great jobs but Tim for the absolute win!
Odd that not every og book didn't get a new cover than again imagining a new cover for curse of camp cold lake is difficult and my personal favorite cover
I’d say most of the Brandon Dorman covers are improvements in every way if only not as nostalgic, except the Slappy covers. Every time Tim Jacobus makes a Slappy cover, it’s significantly creepier than any 2015 iteration.
The original one day at horror land is my favorite the cover just looks so unsettling and eerie and has a lot of dark colors Edit: my second favorite cover is the original edit: haunted car, and my third favorite cover is the original there’s a shocker on shock street it just looks like a 1960s movie , and my fourth favorite cover is the original you can’t scare me it’s looks so cool and the background perfectly fit’s with the mud monsters, my number 5 favorite cover is monster blood it’s so much fun to look at the monster blood on the stairs, Edit my 6 favorite cover is the original the attack of the jacko lanterns, and my 7th favorite cover is the original scarecrow walks at midnight, my eighth favorite cover is the original ghost beach cover
Can’t even find a original one day at horror-land edition book online anymore. Good thing I still have my own, when I was part of the goosebumps club back in elementary. Actually you can if you go on eBay.

I think Tim Jacobus's You can't scare me is the scariest
What about each of the other book covers?
@@thedetonator9815 they're all absolutely fantastic!
@@thedetonator9815 The original Barking Ghost cover is one of the scariest.
I like the Brandon dorman covers
Tim’s work is much superior than Brandon’s. Tim’s weakest would be Stay out of the basement but even I found it pretty cool. Brandon does a great job in attracting the target audience (children) with the cartoony look. Both did great jobs but Tim for the absolute win!
It's because he did it digitally. His hand drawn art is far superior.
I want a tattoo of the original mudman on the cover for You Can't Scare Me.
The a shocker on shock Street cover on the right isn't scary and it's my favorite
Goosebumps King 👍😎
Happy Halloween, everyone! 👻🍬🍫🎃
#Halloween2022
*Haunted Car. The typed Hunted Car.
Can’t even find a original one day at horror-land edition book online anymore. Good thing I still have my own, when I was part of the goosebumps club back in elementary. Actually you can if you go on eBay.
And for Brandon doorman I think his ghost Beach was the creepiest
It was mid at the start but when I got farther, I started going on with the new covers
Why they took all the episodes off from Netflix⁉️they only left like 4/5
12 episodes are still there. They are the two part episodes of The Haunted Mask 1 and 2, A Night in Terror Tower, The Werewolf of Fever Swamp, Welcome to Dead House and Night of the Living Dummy 3.
All the other episodes can be watched on TH-cam.
Most of the Ogs being scarier:
The Blob That Ate Everyone: Hold my beer
I think tim jacoobus the headless ghost one with the creepiest
Good job 0:25
Thank you
The werewolf of fever swamp, the house of no return, the haunted game, the perfect school, the snowman of Pasadena, An old story, and you can't scare me it's very bone chilling
Sounds like those are the tv adaptations.
Maybe it's because of nostalgia, but the old covers are WAY better!
Tim Jacobs (legends) , New (Kids)
Night of the living dummy 2 was peak
both are great: some i think Tim did better and others Brandon did better...
the worse is reprint is the Haunted Mask i mean hello where are Carly-Beth's overalls its what she always wore in the books and in the TV specials for 1 and ll
my fave cover is the original Night of the Living Dummy lll cause of the dim lighing and Slappy there in the middle leading his slaves...
I wonder if brandon dorman knew he was making worse versions
The original covers are way creepier!!!! OG FTW!!!
The 90s art kicks ass.
Oh easily deep trouble was the scariest with the shark only being seconds away from eating its next victim
The extended goosebumps theme... It actually uneases me. :v
The older ones are just scarier

By which artists?
For some of the books I say the new are much better but for majority the original are the best
If it ain't broken, don't fix it.
Though, Jacobus' work is always top tier, I'm not going to pretend Brandon didn't do some of the covers well and a handful surpassed the original. I would say Brandon's best covers are "The Abominable Snowman of Pasadena", "Attack of the Jack o Lantern", "Please Don't Feed the Vampire", and "the Blob that Ate Everyone"
The original covers just do a better job mixing creepy and intrigue, but not all the reprints are bad
The song goes hard as fuck and the original covers are amazing
