darkest hour has always been one of my favorite metal bands for the last 15 years love everything they do.

It's honestly a real fuckin shame that these guys are so underrated. Their better than bands I listen to that have been around for half the time and have 3 times the fans. Wtf.

Among the songs released on youtube so far, 'Knife in the Safe Room', 'Timeless Numbers', 'Those Who Survived', 'Another Headless Ruler of the Used' and 'In the Name of Us All' I am playing a hardcore oriented metalcore sound that makes me remember the earliest time the song is the origin of the band, and melodic death metal elements that have been intensifying since the early 2000s are almost hiding. Just like 'The Misanthrope' and A new album that pushed out hardcore tastes that can also be said as the origin return to the early days of 'The Prophecy Fulfilled'. Kurt Ballou (CONVERGE) was a recording engineer and produced last autumn. Melody intrinsic to a complicated musical composition wrapped in low quality sound is an impression that skillfully extracted and refined the essence of DARKEST HOUR and finished to be a culmination of 21 years of career as a culmination.[

They have so far released the songs 'Knife in the Safe Room' and 'Timeless Numbers'and 'Those Who Survived', which have both indicated a return to the band's usual hardcore orientated metalcore sound.
These dudes and Shadows Fall are my favorite tasty nostalgic bands from the mid 2000's. I'm glad they're still doing it.
I have loved everything they've released. This makes me want to watch Party Scars & Prison Bars.
This and Power Trip will be the best albums of 2017.....mark my words.

I love how everyone complaoined and bitched about the self titled, (i didnt like it much either) and instead of pulling a metallica and sticking with it. They make an album that completely fucking destroys you.

this makes me so happy that I contributed. beautiful piece. I love John's vocals in this one. very intense. and forget about all these people hating on the self titled. sure, it's my second least favorite album of dh, but I hated metal before I heard that album. it's like the album that got me into metal. and before that, I hated all genres of music. so yeah... self titled is a great album. it got me to listen to all the dh albums. and I discovered how amazing this band truly is. best part is how each album is so unique and different sounding than the last one. can't wait to hear more tracks from this album. rock on. 🤘🤘🤘

This is my first time listening to DH since that questionable last album. They may be one of the most underrated bands in fucking ever but they never needed to make a mainstream album like last time. They just needed to keep doing what they do best and that is unleashing an album full of raw, honest emotion that melts faces. Awesome work guys.

DAMED SOLO
This is fun but I don't see myself listening to it for several months straight like I did with Deliver Us, Undoing Ruin, and the Self-Titled. I feel like I have already heard all this song has to offer in only a few listens. I'm sure the rest of the album will have the depth, melody and progressive elements that I miss, but this first single is very simplistic and honestly quite boring.
I'm hoping it's their standard simplistic, thrashy hardcore track sort of along the lines of "District Divided", "Full Imperial Collapse", and "Rapture In Exile" which are all great tracks but I could never enjoy an entire album of songs like those.
But I'm a diehard fanboy, so no worries, just an honest critique for someone who is still going to go to every show, and buy as much merch as I can afford.
higler420 one of the first songs they released last album was one of the more thrashy ones that didn't represent the whole album so I'm sure it's the same case
I'm almost certain that this album wont be nearly as melodic as the
last, but I do hope it shares much of that classic melody that is a part
of Darkest Hour. They released a second track today that is also not
very melodic, but much more interesting than this song. It has more
progressive elements, and is still super brutal. It honestly doesn't
sound much like any other Darkest Hour songs, so that is cool.
Sounds like an old school (Metallica solo) these band sure took a different approach on this CD and this is good!
