Any time! This just gives you the words and options, the real game starts when you can read it as it happens!

So a shallow cut is almost a sort of seal? Also, am I correct in thinking that the speed/deceptiveness of the flip is what prevents the overlap from being a free double?

A shallow cut is a cut that replaces the ball carrier. It's not a seal or pick, it's just moving underneath the dodge to keep your defenseman away and popping out right behind the dodge with out going too low towards the crease. In terms of the flip, yes. If the 2nd defenseman can stay in a good off ball position defending their own player while doubling the ball carrier, that is an easy free double. If the overlap doesn't let him doing that, it's a successful overlap.

Hey Coach! Really great videos. What are the main differences between the 'mirror' and 'shallow cut' games? Seem very similar. Sorry if I missed it. Thanks.

A shallow cut is a movement that starts from the perimeter of the field and the mirror starts from the middle of the field. Technically, the end of the shallow cut is a mirror.
