    The Marsh 99 was probably the king of graffiti markers in the 90s and early 2000s. It may have even held up into the early 2010s, but now we have so many other options. The nib never seems to carry enough ink no matter what you put into the Marsh 99. It gets 3-4 letters and needs to be pumped mid tag. Best tag was 11:40 for sure. The Hard2buff helped a lot for the flow

      Also Rust have you tried the white t grade in that thing? Maybe you could thin it down with some flow pen

      You're right about that man mid tag you gotta pump lol, but the thin mix did seem to help

      I did want to run it with the white but I ran out of it, honestly the white is so much thinner you probably don't even have to thin it down check it out

    The 2 ounce empty mops are so good tho, i filled it up wit sum hard to buff glossy blue ink and it worked well.

    Marsh is optimized for mops. If u put it in markers i do 70%Pilot n 30% Ap marsh

      Word up, marsh k grade goes hard in markers but the xylene be a lil rough on em, mops is the way to go or the mix like you said, cause that marsh a shine through for sure!

    So I initially thought to flood this nib like a pilot jumbo when I first saw how thick it is BUT since it has a valve system I didn’t think it necessary. I still feel like I get dry spots in the nib sometimes but that maybe due to age and not constant use. The marsh hard to buff combo has eliminated that problem when I I used it in another marsh marker with a fresh nib. Haven’t run into the dry spots on or even inside the thick nib. Have you run into dry spots on these thicker nibs that require consistent bleeding. I mean it happens but it find it more frequent with this set up in general. Respect

      @@S.Oner2 yes with these thicker nibs I do get some dry spots here and there when it’s not in heavy use.

    Here's the real question. Should i buy one or will it just end up as a collection marker since typically run px30s

    • @RustyGraffitiReviews
      @RustyGraffitiReviews  หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@MrHypnotykspyrolls it will %100 end up as a collection piece in the long run, and an expensive one at that! Definitely not an everyday carry. GREAT QUESTION!!

    I got one of these markers and the nib just WILL NOT hold ink. I tried Marsh T grade, what its supposedly designed with in mind, and I cant even write 1 letter cleanly. The ink seems to just sit on the surface of the nib when I pump it, not saturate it. I even thinned the ink with some Garvey. Same results. Very expensive marker and not very impressive performance.

    My marsh 99 does not write well. It streaks and fails to soak up any ink at all. But im using a crazy mix of ink like 7 inks thats probably why.

      @RustyGraffitiReviews  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Where did you get that idea from aneks? Because he can’t write with anything. You should have watched my video before commenting because I did not have any trouble tagging with it and it only streaks if the ink you use is too thick. And yes if you’re mixture is to much the nib may gunk up on you. But I love this old marker. It’s definitely not something to carry around everyday. But I can set it down for a year and pick it right up and start tagging with it.

      What are you even talking about, it doesn’t write well. Are you sure you have one or are you just parroting what others say. Cause it write great on all kinds of stuff. If you are over there mixing 7 different inks and putting that in anything but a mop body you’re probably gonna have an issue. That’s your bad not the marsh 99. 😂

    This marker with bullet nib sucks tbh. The chisel nib is the only way it’s good

    • @RustyGraffitiReviews
      @RustyGraffitiReviews  ปีที่แล้ว

      It’s much better with the chisels for sure but a new bullet would have been better then the one I had
