Jess, I love you and your content, I watch every video - so when I say this, please hear it with love - you don't need clickbait thumbnails like "I can't do this anymore" and "saying goodbye". You've built a genuine following of people because you and Tyler are so genuine and real with us. We're going to watch because of that! ❤
I absolutely love and appreciate your comment! It wasn’t meant to be super duper click-baity to be honest! I have been feeling the feeling of needing to be done with my style of keeping SO much makeup, as I have for over a decade, which I was trying to voice in the video. ❤️
@@itsjessicabraun I thought it was a little click-bait-ish since you had mentioned the Angie Hot n Flashy video that had use a similar clickbait thumbnail.
@alisonrichard624. I completely agree with you. I despise click-baity titles. - I love watching Jess’ content because she is so genuinely nice & transparent.
I've watched you almost from the beginning Jess. Please don't fall into the pitfalls of social media. Clickbait turns a lot of people away. You've gained a loyal following, no need for that.
I have these little white stickers that, every time I open a new product, I put the month and year on it, and it helps me keep track of how old my products are. This has been huge for me!
I use the Reminders app on my phone! So whenever I get a new product - I set myself a reminder XYZ amount of months or years down the line (depending on the expiration date) to throw that makeup product away
I do the same! I write the month and year of when it expires after opening. It encourages me to spend money mindfully, keep only a small amount of makeup, and maximize the usage of what I have. 😃
Not me, absolutely panicking at your "I can't do this anymore" ... My train of thought: "What? What can't jess do? Is she done with us? Is she quitting TH-cam? But I need her to be a part of my life! ...But I want her to be happy and do what's best for her. ...Wait maybe 'i can't do this anymore' is referencing something else. Maybe I should calm the freak down and watch the video." 😅😂😂
A makeup brush epiphany I had kinda recently, I noticed some of them weren’t as soft as I remembered so I ended up double washing them with some shampoo and conditioner I have that my hair doesn’t like. I figured it would be a good way to use it up and make my brushes softer. Definitely a bit of a time commitment to do both, and typically I just use body wash, but highly recommend conditioning your brushes every now and then if they’re feeling a little stabby
I remember long ago hearing Lisa Eldridge say she washed her brushes in Children’s shampoo with conditioner, the cheaper the better. I always remember that when I hear influencers raving about some expensive brush cleaner. I just use whatever shampoo I have around.
I absolutely love you Jess, I definitely understand your thumbnail! I had a brief moment of panic - please don’t be done with TH-cam because you’re my cozy corner of the internet who is SO real and genuine, love you and Tyler and the girls ❤️❤️❤️
I would love shop my stash videos. I feel like most people just buy and buy and buy. Would love to see older products that don’t get much love cause they are “old news”
I am in the same headspace. As a normal person , I am declutter all of my makeup. I don’t need 20 lip products. 15 eyeshadows pallets. 20 lipliners. We don’t use everything all the time. I am keeping just 5 of everything and don’t buy anything until totally run of it.
Feel the same. Everytime. It's 10X worth during vlogmas then Jan 1 it's over. It's like what!!!!!! I don't get to watch her videos everyday!!!! @itsjessicabraun is the best on TH-cam!!!
Yours are the only videos I wait to watch to enjoy every minute. They are somehow calming and my rewards for getting thru to do list items. Love if you would try more of the BK beauty brushes, like Angie’s concealer brush, the “sponge” Brush - think it’s the 110, 109 for creams, bk liner and new Nikki La rose liner, etc. Also do you find the new wet n wild dropper foundation too glowy where it looks a bit greasy after a short while? Looking forward to some comfort vlogmas videos and those declutters!
Jess, I love your content and your honesty. At 72 years young, I have put myself on a no- buy makeup for at least a few months. I heard that when we buy in excess….clothes, makeup, etc., you end up using what you truly like less often so as to rotate. So true! Plus I figured that unless I actually use something up, I have enough product in all categories to not run out for at least a year. So props to your clean brushes, need to de-clutter and honest inspiration. Have a beautiful Thanksgiving…much to be thankful for. ❤💄🙏
I literally have one clear, shoebox sized container from The Container Store where I keep my out of season/backup makeup and go into it once a quarter to cycle out with the small amount I keep out. It keeps everything fresh for each season but my collection is definitely in check.
Excited for vlogmas but I know it’s so much work with two littles. Wondering what you’ll do this year. Finding Tiny Tyler in each thumbnail was so much fun 😆
If you have multiples like the Haley’s Beauty bronzer brush…Could you keep the third for travel instead of getting rid of it? That way you have a set already packed and ready to go.
I started labeling a "open date" on my makeup/skincare to help keep better track of how long i had them. It made such a difference on how my makeup sat on my skin 😅😂 plus easy decluttering too
I always love your videos. You and Tyler are so genuine. You seem to be down to earth and easy to relate to. I’m 59 and I appreciate the content in your videos. My BK Beauty brushes are my absolute favorites!
Hello there, Jessica! My all time favorite makeup brush is my original short kabuki brush from Bare Minerals. I absolutely love it ❤ and it’s cute because it’s so short, LOL. I really enjoy this style of vlogs, they are so fun to watch. Yes, yes, yes girl, you definitely want to protect and shelter your eyes👀.from anything that could be harmful. At the age of 34 I was diagnosed with the autoimmune disease, Ocular Cicatricial Pemphigoid, I have slowly lost my vision and now I am legally blind . Of course autoimmune diseases have an unknown etiology, so this was not caused by makeup or anything, but now that I am legally blind with very little to almost no vision, I realize that I kind of took my eyes for granted when I didn’t realize that I was .I wore glasses and contacts , always took great care of my eyes, and I just assumed that my vision would always be there with the proper care and up to date corrective lenses. I was wrong because then came the ugly appearance of my disease. To make a long story short, we all need to be extra protective of our eyes 👀 and appreciate the importance of them. Sorry this comment was so long.😔 I always love ❤ your videos! Luv ya girl!! 💕💕💕
Confession 101: I am a makeup hoarder!😩 The worse part is that I keep buying more. For some reason I keep thinking I need more, but then I don’t use it and it gets old. Going to take this video to heart and try to declutter at least 50% to start 😛
Love your video’s Jessica 🥰 I always feel bad because I have to watch in 3 or 4 parts with little kid life going on… I don’t know if that makes the retention look bad but I always come back and finish every video! Love you’re content xx
Ugh me too! My foundation is oil based. It used to take me forever to clean my brushes with soap. And I tried every kind. Then I started using cinema secrets and never looked back. I hate how pricey it is though. 😩 Hoping to find one that works as well smells as amazing and is more affordable, but I know that’s probably a dream😂
Lovely video, so relaxing! I love the Rose Inc No3 brush - I use it for foundation and cream blush, it just works so well! I have 3 of them on the go if that tells you anything 😁😍
Omg - I had this same revelation with makeup and how long I have had some of it. It was so shocking and immediately had me questioning what I should be keeping and what I should be throwing out. It also put into perspective just how long makeup takes to use up and which products I legit go through.
Jessica, you made a good point. I was in complete denial how old some of my makeup is. I thought maybe a year or so and then I checked my past online orders and realized it’s been way longer… just something to be aware.
My one brush is my BK 109! Its small for my petite features. You can use it for cream or powder and its a little smaller brush so it dont take up much room.
You made me chuckle. Loving seeing all the declutter and spring cleaning from my fave content creators. Brushes : I wash it every 2,3 days max because I KNOW I WILL LET IT BUILD if I don't wash it straight away.
your videos bring me so much joy! i have not watched in so long (although I keep up on Instagram) and I have really missed your genuineness that you bring to your videos. I've been in a crazy collection gathering/declutter mood lately too so this is really helping with the inspiration!
What i started doing was labeling the month and year i open the product on so im not wondering down the line and it has come in soo handy!! I just use my label maker lol
The brush I can’t be without is the sigma F25 tapered powder brush. It’s such an odd shape for powder but I love how it applies my powder so much. I lost it for a couple weeks and used my La Mer powder brush, it couldn’t compete!!! 😂 the smaller version is AMAZING for setting under the eyes or applying highlighter.
People make fun of me, but I clean the sponge and the brushes that I used with cream or liquid products and eyeshadow every night when I do my skincare as part of my nightly ritual❤❤❤
I love brushes, makes me feel like a Artist! One of my fav brushes is from elf! The complexion duo brush! I have about eight of those brushes! Affordable blends out creams and liquids effortlessly! I just found out a few weeks ago. You can use it with powder products as well. It’s a synthetic brush.
I declutter 2 times a year. And I swap out my daily makeup bag once a week. This last summer I decided to really declutter a lot. I looked at everything and how often I use it. If I didn’t use weekly I didn’t need it. Yes weekly. My exception was lip products.
Honest question bc I need some advice: do you guys have a housekeeper? And if so, would you say it’s 100% worth it? And how often do they come? Your place always looks flawless in videos and I’m like - how does she maintain that with 2 small kids??? My husband and I both DESPISE cleaning but are having a hard time determining if it’s worth the $$ and if so, how often we should have them come…
Hey Jess! Love you so much! Quick note about the panorama mascara, it comes off best with warm water and soap, not as well with a double cleanse like an oil cleanser. I adore this mascara, I work 12 hour shifts as a nurse and it doesn’t flake or smudge and the tube lasts a long time. I also have super oily eyelids so it’s rare to find a mascara that doesn’t move on me! I’m telling you, just warm water and soap (I use the first aid beauty soap but any soap works)!!
I keep a pretty small makeup collection but once a year before I fly back east to visit family I make a pile of all the makeup, brushes etc I bought over the year that aren’t working for me and give it to anyone in the family that wants it. It all always gets spoken for and I don’t accumulate too many items I’m not using.
I actually discovered your channel because I was looking for baby registry videos. What attracted me was your personality. You are very genuine. You now have a new subscriber😊
Hopefully this doesn't sound creepy lol, but I hadn't watched any videos for a few weeks due to my surgery and a health crisis with a family member. I actually missed you and missed listening to you like a friend I hadn't seen in awhile.
My favorite brush is the foundation brush from Kokie cosmetics. It’s massive and blends out foundation super quick and always looks nice. I’ve bought 3
I love your nails so romantic and autumnal 😍💅🏼🫶🏼 and my fav fav make up brushes are the rare beauty cats paw foundation brush and this old Tart blush brush that they sold with a blush set a long time ago. I also love the smudge liner brush from real techniques for eyeshadow eyeliner 😅🥰
Regarding keeping an idea of how old your makeup is, I bought of a roll of tiny blank stickers and when I buy a product, I put the year on it and stick it somewhere on the product. As someone who loves makeup but doesn't finish a lot of stuff, i started doing this so I would be worrying about expired products. Such a life saver!
Great video, and inspiring!!! Fave brushes: BK 101 foundation, BK 109 for cream contour & cream blush, BK 112 mini blush brush and Hourglass dual-ended (the large one) for bronzers and powders
Girly! I am so glad your doing this declutter of your beauty supply, because It made me realize I need to replace some of my old makeup brushes. Poor girls are looking bad! My favorite makeup brush is a Merle Norman tapered blending crease brush. I have 2 of them. And idk a better one out there. 😅
You inspired me to do a brush de-clutter as well! I don’t have a ton of brushes but got rid of 6! My favorite brush is an EcoTools double ended eye brush. Shader on one end and liner on the other.
I remember singing that song in church around Thanksgiving when I was young. I had totally forgotten that song until you began singing and the memory came rushing back.
I just did a major declutter. My most used brush is the ELF dual ended blush and concealer brush. Revlon Illuminance foundation is being discontinued so I stocked up on it as I love it.
The haus labs concealer brush was life changing. It was so good I asked my cousins wedding makeup artist to use it on me when my under eyes weren’t playing nice with her.
As soon as you said, "Do you remember that song?" that song started in my head. 😆 Looking forward to decluttering videos! I am (semi) in a decluttering mood myself, and definitely in need of some decluttering, so I'll take all the inspiration I can get!
My ELF brushes are my hands down most used and longest kept brushes. The one brush I would repurchase though is one I can’t repurchase. Its a eyeshadow brush from a no name brand that an old coworker gave to me.
I tried the BK Beauty 109 a few months ago and I don’t know how I ever lived my life without it 😂. It applies every blush and bronzer- powder, liquid and cream- so naturally diffused and beautiful. I am by no means a makeup expert but my complexion products look flawless with this brush! I would absolutely run out and buy it again if I ever lost it. In fact, I just bought a second one!
Try that Dior blush as an eyeshadow. That's what I did with a Nars Bronzer (I don't use bronzer, but it came in a gift set). Great one and done shadow.
Definitely sang that song back in the day: "We gather together to ask the Lord's blessing; He chastens and hastens His will to make known; the wicked oppressing now cease from distressing. Sing praises to His name, He forgets not His own."

omggg YES i forgot about Tiny Tyler!!
I always forgot to look for him lol

Instantly panicked as well!😅

Might be niche, but I would love to see a wedding registry recommendations video! Or more generally an updated home kitchen/faves!
Hmmm this is an interesting idea!!
The elf putty blush brush is my fave!
That's the perfect brush for any cream blush! No other comes close.
Soooo excited for the declutter videos!
My favorite brush is the concealer brush from Taylor Wynn’s set!
Hey how is Taylor Wynn doing since her surgery?? Is she ever coming back to YT? Miss her.
The amount of brushes you have is funny and shocking. 😂 I love it so much. 🎉🎉
Omg core memory unlocked with that song!! All i can remember and keep singing in my head is " the more we get together, together, toooogether" 😂
Omg when you said the hourglass brush can go i stopped breathing for a hot second 😂😂😂😂 I swear no one is more savage then you in declutters!!!! 🥰
I had the same reaction!! 😂

I save these videos for when I do chores in the evening. I feel like I’m hanging out with a friend while we’re being productive together.

I never found not one Tiny Tyler😅
"We Gather Together" is a hymn we always sang in church during the Thanksgiving season. I always loved that one!!

Your vlogs are so calming to me, love them ❤️
Such a delight to watch you ❤ thanks for the look at your orders tip!
Love your video’s Jessica 🥰 I always feel bad because I have to watch in 3 or 4 parts with little kid life going on… I don’t know if that makes the retention look bad but I always come back and finish every video! Love you’re content xx
JESS!! You need cinema secrets! I promise it will change your life with brush cleaning! I won’t go without it. It’s for sure my one splurge item.

I have so many brushes but I have been loving the very affordable and very nice Jessup brand from Amazon. So good.
Are those Jess up brushes really good? Does it leave any hairs on the face? Cause I can’t stand when that happens!
@@claudiavictorino13 I love them. I've purchased multiple sets. I've not noticed any shedding.

I feel attacked 😂😂😂❤❤
Love these videos were you clean/organize with us. Something so cozy about it lol. Also motivating when I feel like being a bum.
I love the BK 101 brush!! I finally got it and I can’t believe I waited so long to get it!
I'd forEVER repurchase the BK Beauty Angie Hot and Flashy concealer kitten paw brush! LOVE LOVE
The elf small stipple brush lol. I love it!

My fave brush is the kitten paw concealer brush from BK Beauty Angie collection. I have 2 😊
Jessica, the L’Oréal Panorama mascara is tubbing, it comes off really easy with warm water😄
I think you should have 3 sets of your FAVORITE brushes; home, work site and packed for travel.
I'd love to see a quick video of you applying that Wet and Wild eyeshadow. I have the same palette and I feel like I don't know how best to use it

I’ve been going through a lot of my stuff and it’s amazing just how much your tastes have changed also over time

I love the bk beauty 109 , i used it for color corrector / concealer, then bronzer, then blush ( im very minimalist)

I'm obsessed with your "sweatshirt" makeup look. You look stunning. So simple. But super beautiful.
My favorite brush is actually an old Lancôme brush. I use it for blush and I love it. Your collection is crazy! lol. Glad to see you decluttering.
JAM packed 😂 no pun intended right
Thanks for the reminder to clean my brushes! Just did the same while watching this! 😅
Have you ever taken your empties to Ulta or Sephora using their Pact program?
Great video, and inspiring!!! Fave brushes: BK 101 foundation, BK 109 for cream contour & cream blush, BK 112 mini blush brush and Hourglass dual-ended (the large one) for bronzers and powders
Love your videos! ❤ My favorite brush is the Angie Hot and Flashy concealer brush. A game changer!
Girly! I am so glad your doing this declutter of your beauty supply, because It made me realize I need to replace some of my old makeup brushes. Poor girls are looking bad! My favorite makeup brush is a Merle Norman tapered blending crease brush. I have 2 of them. And idk a better one out there. 😅
Yay for more declutters 🙏🥰
We Gather Together is a hymn.
I’m not even into makeup but I watch all of your videos lol it helps me get through cleaning my house with two little!
Love your videos please keep them coming, your so much fun to watch ( ps love your husband Tyler too and the girls and Pinocchio ❤❤❤❤❤
As soon as you said, "Do you remember that song?" that song started in my head. 😆
Looking forward to decluttering videos! I am (semi) in a decluttering mood myself, and definitely in need of some decluttering, so I'll take all the inspiration I can get!
The Dior Rosewood blush is fantastic but you need a nice diffusing brush to make it look its best.
My ELF brushes are my hands down most used and longest kept brushes. The one brush I would repurchase though is one I can’t repurchase. Its a eyeshadow brush from a no name brand that an old coworker gave to me.
With the Rosewood blush… watch the tone of bronzer you use w it. I find it works better w certain tones on my skin than others.
The more we get together
Together, together
The more we get together
The happier we'll be 🎶
I tried the BK Beauty 109 a few months ago and I don’t know how I ever lived my life without it 😂.
Definitely sang that song back in the day:
"We gather together to ask the Lord's blessing;
He chastens and hastens His will to make known;
the wicked oppressing now cease from distressing.
Sing praises to His name, He forgets not His own."
