This is a great program. Perhaps considering regulation to require pet owners to obtain a license and pass this type of program would be helpful. In addition to teach pet owners the potential consequences of dog bites, attacks, etc.

This is a good break down of expectations. My dog will be undergoing the AKC Good Citizen test at a local petco that has a dedicated dog trainer.

At what age is it recommended, that your dog should be able to do all of this good dog diploma?
Before the dog is 1, 2, 3 years old?

I'm a CGC Evaluator. I rec 2 years or older (there is a puppy version for dogs under 1 year of age). By 2 they will have had many experiences in public and with people and their personality is more "set" than an adolescent. This of course will vary dog to dog which is why it's nice the test is standardised.
