Yup, it's a tailwater. The flows have been pretty consistent though.
So what’s your honest option on the new Umpqua butt material and sighter material? Iv been thinking about giving the micro a go! Heard it’s very brite on the sighter! What color butt material did you choose?
I went with the pink butt material because that is what FFF had left. I am interested in trying out the green as well. I really like the pink/yellow bi color sighter material and will use that exclusively going forward. I see it so much better than the yellow/red SA one I was using before.
I've used it for two days on the water. Performance wise, I really like how it fishes on a rig. One thing that did happen to me is I didn't change out the whole leader for day two and I had a failure in the butt section on a hookset (not even a knot). So I don't know if I nicked it or stepped on it or something. I need to see if the failure gets replicated. It might be one of those things that needs to get changed out every new fishing day. That'd be pricey at $20 for 30 yards but the performance is great otherwise.
@@TroutFlies well if that happens I would talk to Umpqua and Lance about it for sure iv had a similar problem with the older sighter from them and they fixed me up right away and more! So I’ll always be a Umpqua fan with the customer service! I think I’m gonna give it a go gonna order some today!
I still don't know if it was a one off so I definitely need to do some more testing to see if I can replicate it. I'm leaning towards it being more likely something that I did. Probably crashing through some bushes or something. I did a stress test the night before on the old leader and my knots and it felt solid throughout. @@thedesertoutdoorsmen5166
