Comicolor - Dick Whittington's Cat

Young Dick Whittington is working for a cruel cook in the kitchen. A hungry cat is getting in, and the two get along beautifully, but the angry cook is demanding that Dick goes to the river to drown the cat. Of course, Dick can't get himself to do that, and so the cat ends up being shipped to a faraway land infested with rats. Now the cat has the chance to live the good life, but its cowardice is still its enemy.

Holy shit, i never noticed that...FREAKIN AWESOME!! I personally liked Simple Simon the most, it wuz just that awesome as a kid. Hell, i remember all the classics from Comicolor, Tex Avery, and others that today's generation wouldnt understand. I'm only 26, but there's NO SCHOOL LIKE THE OL' SCHOOL!!

I saw this version on eBay which is the silent Castle Films print on 8mm and the artwork on cover looks like it was something coming out of Terrytoons. The cover showed the cat and mouse looks like an early concept for Little Roquefort & Percy which it did not introduced until the 1950's.
The cartoon itself was from Ub Iwerks, but the cover itself was kinda weird. Art Bartsch was the designer for Terrytoons where he did the artwork for most of Castle Films titles and he was also did the Terrytoons comic books.

man I remember there was this dog (a golden retriever) that used to come by and we used to feed it like every week then one day it never showed up again then a few years later another dog came by a white one it would come by on certain days then it stopped coming man I wish I could have kept one of them I can only hope they went back to their owners
