This was powerful interview. Growing in east London and having my coffee shops close down twice because of redevelopment hurts and hak is telling that story through music

I’m also a victim of something and been to prison and now I deserve a new BMW out of the compensation!

Hak was born in 1991; 20 years after the last migrants officially belonging to the “Windrush Generation”. Did either of his parents arrive in the UK between 1948 & 1971? If they did, he can claim or be a “Windrush Baby” rather than some other kind of migrants’ baby. That’s per BBC definition of “WG”.

My family felt the same about london before the war, we had many generations born and raised there, most moved out after the big london bomings but some stayed, when they went to london after the war they said they recognised nothing and no one, it was run down and covered in foreigners they couldng talk to because they spoke many different languges and many where not friendly they all said they felt pushed out, i just thought id let you know many people lost london well before you did
