The day of worship was established in the book of Acts for the church. The Sabbath is the covenant between God and the Jews. That's why we are told to judge no man on what day he chooses to worship. Learn the scripture before running your ignorant mouth.
How do you feel about In Genesis God closes each day 1-6 with "And the evening and the morning were the [sixth] day."
However on the seventh day the only day where this verse doesn’t appear because God never ended the seventh day. The sabbath is a Levite ceremonial practice that was intended as the precursor to our true rest in Christ Jesus. Therefore everyday is our opportunity to rest in the Lord and keep Him our sabbath Holy. Thus "the sabbath was created for man not man for the sabbath.
God says that the Sabbath will be kept even in heaven. So it does matter what day in fact is the only day that he said remember so why would he say remember because he knew people would try to change it. Even Jesus and the disciples kept the Sabbath.
Because of the Sabbath Jesus rose early the first day of the week which is Sunday because he did not want to disturb the Sabbath the holy day of God. study

I worship God every day of
the week because he has been good to me. I have heard and read this before. I truly believe that God is more concerned about where our sou will l rest for eternity than what day of the week we go to church to worship. Yes we should worship God every day, but God set the example for us in resting on His holy 7th day Sabbath at the end of the Creation Week. Moreover, He also put His holy 7th day Sabbath as the 4th Commandment and identified Himself as Creator God, so the fact that He made it a Commandment shows that it's of the utmost importance to Him. He even begins that Commandment with the word _Remember_ bc He knew we would forget. Isaiah 66:22-23 assures us that His holy 7th day Sabbath will continue on into eternity.

Act 20:7 - 1st day of week
- Common mistake: We read an English version of Greek text using a roman / catholic mindset.
o Mankind stopped using God’s calendar and now we use the Roman / Julian / Gregorian one.
o In the year 321 the emperor Constantine made a new edict known as the Sunday decree: “All judges and city people and the craftsmen shall rest upon the venerable Day of the Sun…”
o Catholics lay claim they changed Sabbath to Sunday.
o Protestants ignore the Sabbath and keep the traditions of Sunday worship.
o As a result, we operate in traditions of men and are blinded to what the Bible text actually say.
- The word “day” is not in the original English texts. That’s why it’s sometimes shown in italics
- “The first of the week” is somewhat close to the original meaning but is easily misunderstood by the modern roman catholic mindset to think it means Sunday after sunrise.
o Bible word used in vs7 is Sabbaton (G4521)
o The term Motza'ei Shabbat (Hebrew: מוצאי שב ת -literally, the going out of the Sabbath) refers to the time in the evening immediately following Shabbat, that is Saturday at sundown.
o Within the context of Acts 20:7 “going out of Sabbath” implies several things:
▪ The 7th day Sabbath is used as the referent for days of the week.
▪ The calendar being referenced is God’s calendar where the day ends/begins at sundown. Not the roman / catholic time we use today (Julian / Gregorian calendar )
- They “broke bread” at the end of Sabbath (Saturday evening), fellowshipped, Paul spoke to them until mid-night, and this was a one-time event. It was NOT an abolishment of or replacement for the weekly Sabbath.
o Sabbath observance still existed after the cross (10+ times in book of Acts)
▪ These believers were still meeting in synagogue for prayers, Torah reading, and teaching.
o This after sunset gathering, was sharing a meal and listening to Paul speak.
▪ The reference to many lamps in the place is telling. Someone had kept a Sabbath fire or at least hot coals. At the end of Sabbath, folks brought their lamps to light and take fire home with them (an interpretation from Jewish culture)
- Paul was to be traveling away from them starting the next day… Sunday. Which is the 1st day of work according to God’s command - Exod 20:8-9
o A Sunday after sunup Church service is NOT found in this Acts 20 text.
o He was going to be away from them for some time and wanted to share a final meal and message w/them before he left on a journey. So, he spoke until mid-night and intended to travel after sunup on Yom Rishon.

Then He blessed it, sanctified it, declared it holy, and then rested on it. And the Sabbath is so special to God that He even put His name "Abba" right in the middle of "s-ABBA-th".

I was a Catholic ex proclaimed gay male and lived as one for about 3 years for my life then Yeshua came in my life and restored me and I learned how to be intimate with God to hear his voice and was filled by his spirit and God send us to restore his original time as he set them since the beginning, but now with Yeshua and the spirit in our life’s! We do house church because unfortunately now a days the church is filled and follows man made things and preach from there fleshes not from the spirit, and the lord kept us from becoming religious because believing in Yeshua/Jesus is not a religion. Now I prey that everyone to read his comment in the name of Jesus that they also may receive deeper revelation and revival within him, I prey that their souls and hearts may be open to hear his truly truth which we have departed from, so we can resorte the end time for Jesus to come amen!!

I think there is a understanding problem here, when we say we worship God everyday and everyday is my Shabbat , that is actually against the scripture, because God said , 6 days you will do all your labor but the 7th dat, Shabbat day is a rest day, because God created heavens and earth in 6 days but in the 7th day He rest. as a matter of fact in the Hebrew calendar or better said God's calendar, there is not names in the days of the weeks but numbers, 1st day, second day, third day, 4th..... 6th , Shabbat. Shabbat is the only day that have a name, now you see the importance of that day, that actually is the only day that has a name...... common sense , no religion.

Worship is not restricted to once a week. Some churches have what is called around the clock worship. Someone is always at the church, praying, bible studies (various topics) , or worship of some kind.
This is not about worship but about obedience to Yahweh's law. Why is it that Christians don't rest on the day they say is their Sabbath. Christians washing cars, doing laundry, shopping, going out to eat, cutting grass, etc. on their so-called sabbath.
It is the one commandment that begins with "remember" because God knew it was the one we would forget.

JESUS put us in a state of eternal rest from works so that way we can continually worship HIM with our actions. We are living in an eternal sabbath an eternal worship. We actually have service Sunday on the first day of the week to start out our week with our brothers and sisters to sharpen us for the week. Starting the week out with GOD first and Sunday is a holy day because every day is holy, which means separated for GOD. I can go on and on with the true reason why but some people will never see the truth even if they were reading it with their own eyes.

Also, you can see lots of references in acts and Paul's letters of the church meeting on the 'Lords day' or even more to the point first day of week (sunday) it's not got pagan origins it's what the early church did.

I don’t think most Sunday observers actually keep their “Sabbath “ holy. Most go to church, then afterwards go out to eat, or might have a family lunch of some kind, but that’s about it. Sure, they may catch a nap and then it’s just another day of housework/chores to be ready for the week ahead.
Most SDA’s that I know, actually KEEP the Sabbath, honoring the day of true rest and fellowship, reflection and they cease to buy anything and cease to work. Period. I NEVER saw this growing up in Sunday churches. NEVER, was the Sabbath observed in a revered way. Always the “graceful” messages about “it doesn’t matter what day you worship, Jesus still and always will love you, even to the end of your selfishness and depravity - Grace for this, grace for that. We are not under law - but under grace to ignore the Old Testament and God’s Laws”.

@@donzellbroadnax1948 yes you can worship God and should worship God everyday. He did set aside a day of rest and worship. It is one of the 10 Commandments. We don’t live by the ceremonial laws however we do uphold God’s laws. He is the same yesterday, today and tomorrow. Think about the other 9 Commandments, do you follow them? Why is this one any different?
Believe whatever you like the only thing I am telling you personally is keep an eye and your mind open. You may just be surprised by what God puts in there and more so where it comes from.

Yes, that"s great, but GOD has explicitly commanded us to keep the 7th day, Saturday, as His holy day, to worship in Him. See Exodus 20:8-11, & 31:12-17. Also, Jesus declared that the ten commandments would last forever in Matthew 5:17-19! More, God's people would keep His commandments - see Revelation 12:17 & 14:12.
