Great vid, hopefully saves someone some grief. Chaosweaver range is MUCH larger than depicted, almost double what is on the map. I thought i was safe and tested agro range... logged in the next day and everything was gone. Permanently lost all of my most value components, tens of hours worth of work completely gone. If you have max graphics settings and a good render distance and can still see a weaver, move immediately.
Myself and the Mrs met the chaosweaver when he showed up to do some "renovations." She called to tell me he was hanging outside of our bases. By the time I logged in, he had already bulldozed our bases. What's worse, he broke our crates, and we lost all of our loot that was on the ground. It was quite the annoyance to start all over again.
my main issue since beginning the way of winter has been the fact that randomly i'll start freezing out of nowhere despite having more than enough cold protection gear...also the temperate area we chose for housing sometimes randomly becomes super cold and even in my territory i'll somehow catch hypothermia...we live on a coastline nowwhere near the frozen hills so i suspect a bug.
Worse than just logging in to see a nothing base, I logged in on day 1 of my servers phase 2 to find my base destroyed and the Chaosweaver right above my head. I have made the suggestion that if a Chaosweaver destroys a chest the contents should be placed inside the Territory Vault, the same as if the foundation/ floor was destroyed first. These are not purifications, it is not as if we invited the Chaosweaver for a Sunday stroll.
@@88Fallon put the chest on Metal Shelves, When it got destroyed everything went into the vault, Unless they patch it then you just need to use your base bp and put everything back in
@emragna6038 You constructed that straw man then successfully burnt it to the ground, congratulations for defeating a position I never made. A Chaosweaver destroying a base is not all that inconvenient considering I rebuild my base about once a week anyway. The actual issue is other players being able to take items when neither the server or myself are flagged for PvP. I have played Evolutions Call and Prismverse, if you know what is happening perfectly fine. Surprise looting, not so fine.

Now the even bigger problem is the damage is already one and too many people already quit because of chaosweavers. I'm pretty sure we're definitely going to fail the next phase because too many already quit.

@@RealMrKraken i dont have people to play the game with and when you have a boss that says recommended 4 players im kinda stuck it would be good if they took into account some people have no choice but to solo the game i have asked for help in world chat but never get anything so have missions i cant do ive tried but the forsaken giant not a chance
Ive not really done any base building in WoW so far because of this issue. I don’t mind damage from say a purification, but to log in and find your entire base destroyed and above all your inventory lost would be too much for me.
They need to blend the ideas of Prime Wars, Thermal Towers, Chaosweavers. Put towers in set locations that can accommodate at least 40 defenders. Have the Chaosweavers attack the towers based on players loading lots of Chaosium. Rewards are similar but additionally have selectable "Territory Memetics" to activate the tower benefits back home.
The mapped locations are just KNOWN verified locations, i'm still regularly updating it. So if you've got a screenshot with the minimap in view please do share it in my discord or the reddit thread
Some people even use it to destroy other people home, even that home far from chaos spawn point. I dont mind as long as my stuf doesn't drop to the ground but if it is thats maybe a reason to go back to manibus😂
Happened to me, of course lost all of my good mats and rebuild with blueprint was completely useless wait for season to end, not worth rebuild in all honesty.
I just putt every single item in my crates in my inventory before i logged off before phase 3 starts. Deviations included. Only loss is my thermal tower if i log in and my base is destroyed
People can transfer from way of winter if they want I don't care. I'm not going back to grind LEA. Black Sector is better imo. It's faster and the boss is less tanky plus I like way of winter map more. It has an easier and larger oil field/pollution zone. In manibus I have to fight tooth and nail for that position when red sand is open and when there are a lot of players building around the same place it makes the place super laggy.
In WoW it's not an issue with regard to placing your base near any oil or pollution zone as you can easily make a tower to get those perk. Took me only 3 days just casual playing to get the pollution perk from the tower and I imagine it would only take less than a day if I took it seriously.
I got a really good location at the north west most part of the map. oil and pollution, no weavers. The pollution is a non issue now too and I can survive even 180 polluted zones now.
Today I logged in and my base was gone with the CW still giving a fight, lost all the mats along with 6 other hive members, the vault saved scrapt.. if they dont fix it im not playing Way of Winter Scenario
I have yet to actually see one of the bleeping things. I get weather changed because of Chaosweaver message and then I start dying. I have sealskin garments. Heatium. Lantern. and heated backpack and that all-weather stew. Nothing seems to work for me.
Doesnt matter even if you're kinda far. Griefers will aggro them to you base and loot your mats. My base was in a "save-ish" place and still today i logged in to find it destroyed with all my chests in particular gone. If i wanned to have my base raided i wouldve just played PvP or better yet - Rust. It wont even allow me to rebuild it with the blueprint so im just done. Cya in a year or two when theres actual content if the game is still alive by then.
I SEE you changed your TH-cam link ... I couldn't find you for awhile, kept getting a blank page. But all good now. Edit .. Plus .. Chaosweaver .. destroyed the game for me ... couldn't play anymore, kept dying everytime I logged in.
Yes but destroyed stuff should be put in the vault, as for me i have 5/5 wolf and a 5/5 rex if i login and lost that, you bet imma quit even if i have 800+ hrs in game
😂 the thing is Chaosweaver is made for to cause chaos and destroy everything. More funny is these bunch of noobs thinking this game is like the other MMOrpg or MMOjrgs not Survival 😂😂😂😂😂😂
Its not about being a noob its about players who grief and go and stand inside a base or on top of the bases so the Chaosweaver will attack said bases just to grab the bags of loot that drop , you can safely fight a chaosweaver with limited damage to other players bases when you all stand away from bases
I wouldn't mock them. Most people who plays this game are casual. Many of them wouldn't mind getting their base destroyed. The only issue is having your item looted afterward and having to start over. It's a terrible feeling and the dev really need to issue this problem to at the very least give more warning or add information of spawn points to allow players to know the risk.
@@LuvzPurpleOnce you know it can cause such damage, can you anticipate it? Putting your items in the vault for example, by destroying the chest yourself, so those items are "saved" in your vault. Or discard unnecessary items so your vault inventory is not full. Or take important deviation in your inventory when you log out? The tower buff is there to replace eel and bees, so i dont have to use them anyway. I have so many unused electricity and crops with the tower buff.
@@highfive4885 I now take anything important to me out when i log off, sadly there is nothing you can do when it happens and your offline and you didn't know about losing items from the base being destroyed i just thought it all went into the vault sadly that's not the case. So I've learn't my lesson.

i logged in to find people deliberately hiding behind my base to avoid getting hit so i teleported to the middle of know were and moved the base

the cw spawn point isnt as fixed as we thought, one of our bases got destroyed because the cw somehow spawned outside of its area of spawn point

Love that ele/status weapons do nothing to them, and all buyable blueprints for armor are only ele/status damage.

Oddly saw a new spawn point this morning, different from earlier Phase 3 spawn points (though it is showing on the provided map, interesting).
I got a feeling my base will be gone when i log in.
Net ease could fix this by just hot fixing it so chaosweavers can’t be kited for long but I don’t think they even care

Not really, stacking bullseye seems to be the way to go to burn CW down
