Hey all, to address a few comments, yes there is a panel that can be removed from the tray, and it's got AGGRESSIVE adhesive on it. Cleaning it is kind of a pain. There's a clear plastic panel under. That gives you a little more depth and clearance. This allows the Vivo to stay in place a LITTLE better, but it's still not as snuggly fit as the Pixel is with no modification to the controller. It's not how I WOULD WANT to use a $1000+ phone in a controller where it's slightly angled and could pop out. Especially compared to other controllers that can hold the BIG camera sensor phones more securely, but you do you 👍
Lol, I definitely enjoyed the video, got mad that I liked the video as soon as it started and then when it got to the end I couldnt thumbs up again 😂 Also What are the chances that I thought it was a cool controller that I'd buy and then you immediately stated after it wouldn't work with the OP12 😅
Can't you remove the left side of the pad, making the cutout for the camera module much longer? Pretty sure that's what the vertical cut in the pad is for.
I tried. It's a REALLY strong adhesive, so I'm not sure it's really supposed to come out... Under it is a clear plastic guard that still wont really clear the camera on most of these big sensor phones regardless.
I highly recommend looking into the ELO Vagabond controller. That one seems to be extremely versatile with high specs to boot. If I read the spec sheets properly, it could probably fit a Unihertz Tank too.
dang i'm glad you mentioned it, i have one of these chonker camera phones and this definitely won't fit. kinda sad since it seems to be a great product, the idea with the magnetic cover plates for easy repairability is brilliant! and as someone who has experienced analog stick drift i really appreciate the hal-sensors. great review as always!
I added a pinned comment about the panel that can pop out, but if you have a big camera, I would look at the other options I referenced at the end of this video.
I never game. Im not interested in the subject, but you do a fine job pushing the strengths of this device while also showing the options that would make sense to large camera module phones. Good job.
I'm glad you of all people reviewed this, I wasn't even considering a huge camera bump being an issue until you demonstrated the issue 😅 Now I'm a little hesitant to get this or one of the G8 clones since I was looking at the OnePlus 13 as my next phone. And their bumps have been getting bigger 🤭
I came here to say the gamesir CEO showed off a feature where you can pull the controller apart past the plastic and it will hold even a 16 inch tablet :) you can snap the controller back together to charge.
It might help for evening out the rear, and giving the charge port side more to hold on to and grip the case? I think it would just be better to use something like options I show at the end though for the really lopsided camera phones.
Have you ever heard of 8bitdo controllers for multi platform compatibility? They may not have telescopic controllers like these, but they never disappointed. The 8bitdo pro 2 also has removable battery. And you can find smaller form factor controllers. I believe you will like them.
I have one of their controllers. I do like it but when I use it with my Sony Xperia 1V I have to take the case off because of the grooves just not being deep enough.
@@SomeGadgetGuy The new one coming out will have one as an accessory except it's just a rebadged G8 Plus. Edit: Have to correct myself. It looks more like a blend of the G8 Galileo and G8 Plus. Size of the Plus but with a USB-C port.
"I can game with the controller plugged in" Me, using my Stadia controller that way in my V60. Only issue? That USB-C port is awful so the phone shouldn't ever move while playing.
Using is with a cable is cool but One can use the Bluetooth connection to make it a normal gamepad with all BT gamepad. The Razer Ultra does this but it has no BT so makes more sense.
It'd be interesting to see how the controller fairs with ROG Phone and Nubia Red Magic. They're just as thick as Vivo and Xiaomi premium flagship phones.
I was looking at this but decided to stay with my gamesir x2 till it dies. Even using these on my Pixels are worth it though. While not the most powerful GPU wise. It can handle most games, just not at the highest settings, and emulators, which is most of my gaming, run great. I'll take another look at this once my gamesir dies though
After owning the Galileo, the Type C model, for a while now, it's my favorite so far. It's a shame that it doesn't work with my Xiaomi 14 Ultra. Camera hump too big.
@@SomeGadgetGuy got a gamesir x2s now and my pixel 7 with case does actually fit. you pull one half of the controller towards one side and then there's some room for camera bumps over the backbone. and the whole thing is pretty compact still. really happy with it.
If u r looking for a telescopic controller just get a BSP d8 with hall sticks it just costs 6 pounds worth every bit dont waste money on these expensive controllers
@@gcforrealI agree but the controls are real nice for the price except the dpad maybe and works really well with game streaming I'm having a really good time :)
You sure about that? I only use my phone for photography and videography. Never miss going back to bulky standalone cameras. There are even TH-cam channels wholly dedicated to smartphone photography like Through Jermaine's Lens.

Works with my s24 ultra using uag case
How about you try out our controller and see if it works for your $1000+ phone?
I came here so early, that this video might already be pregnant
DANG!

LOL Aw man... Isnt that ALWAYS the way. Some other options will work with that OP12 though. Fret not.
Will it fit the ROG Phone 8? And what controller do you recommend?

@@SomeGadgetGuyit's supposed to come out. They literally have a picture of it on the official website.
Would it work if you put a case on the phone?
bro how i can connect my headphones to gamesir x2s Bluetooth?
Sometimes physics sucks. Heres a case of that.
I highly recommend looking into the ELO Vagabond controller.

Would this work with an iPhone 16 Pro Max???
Awesome review bro! Might need to add GameSirrrrrr to my mobile gaming setup soon.
You should man. GREAT controllers.
I have the USB-C one, sadly it got no x-input. Great controller otherwise.
Does the bt-version support it or no?

For some reason when a device uses magnets it really appeals to my monkey brain. I extra want it 🐵
Magnets are pretty rad...
Would the plug in option to play work in tablets like the new tab s10+ (I understand if you don't have an answer)
Yup! At least it worked on my OnePlus Pad.
I came here to say the gamesir CEO showed off a feature where you can pull the controller apart past the plastic and it will hold even a 16 inch tablet :) you can snap the controller back together to charge.
That sounds terrifying LOL. I need to try that as soon as I'm back home!
@@SomeGadgetGuy just watch a tutorial so you don't break it :) my g8 plus comes later today I can let you know how it goes.
... Would a case on the phone make any difference? My case makes the back of my phone even ...

Dagnabit. I got the USB-C version only a few months ago. Doesn't fit my Legion Tab Y700, annoyingly. New one might, though.
I'm kinda shocked there arent first party options from lenovo to turn that into a gaming rig...

And how do you mount a V60 TO the controller?
Your should try Gamesir x3 pro, it fits my x80 pro, not perfectly, but it fits 😅

I wish I had a newer RM to test. Those phones are MONSTERS.
My rog phone 6 fits just fine. Can't speak about other phones tho
Cant you just slap a case on your phone flushing the camera ? that way it fits fine.
If it's that thick all over, it wont stay under the grips on the side.

Juan, I just pre-ordered a new mobile controller named Abxylute S9. You should have Abxylute send you one and compare it to the Gamesir G8 Galileo.
I'll look it up 👍
It seems like good device but the usb cable attachment should have been on the top. The usb port on the bottom looks odd 😅
People need to buy longer USB cables, then it doesnt matter as much 😄
After owning the Galileo, the Type C model, for a while now, it's my favorite so far. It's a shame that it doesn't work with my Xiaomi 14 Ultra. Camera hump too big.
I know. At this point I feel Xiaomi should make a custom controller. VERY FEW options will fit the Ultra.
Thanks, I've Vivo X100s Pro , and I'll prefer buy X4 instead
Can I play GTA 5 on it? And if so, how can I do it?
Ps remote play. You'd have to have it on PlayStation already and use the app to stream your PlayStation to your phone
i couldnt use the razer kishi for the same reason.
Most of the backbone style controllers are a no go for me as a daily accessory.
