- Welcome to another food shop
As I sorted out my freezer at the start of the week and as it is half term next week which my son is spending three days with his Dad I didn't need much shopping this week just a generally top up of things. I did buy some skincare products and a few gifts for my friends 50th birthday.
Sorting out my freezer really helped cut the cost this week with my shopping bill, if you have yet to see that video you can check it out here - • Freezer sort out to sa...
Also if you want to see how I make my chocolate mousse cups you can check that video out here - • LOW CALORIE CHOCOLATE ...
This weeks shopping bill across all three shops was £51.85
The breakdown of my shop this week
Home Bargains - £15:15
Asda - £12.10
Aldi - £24.60
Total - £51.85
This shopping is for myself and my son and each week we eat 95% of what we buy there is hardly any food waste. Enjoy the video and I would love to know how much do you spend on a weekly shop for your family?
I will also be posting my meal plan in my Facebook group - Solo Mum to One - / solomumtoone
If you do like the video consider subscribing and I will continue my little food / grocery hauls for you
Have a great day
Rachel x
Yah i got a mention i was the one who said make a list .... i am just a little star struck lol.... just glad it will be somethung you will do in the future. Impressive shop and for food less the wine present and skincare you would have probably had a week of groceries for less than 30 pounds so well done u . Ps told u that u look more like late 20s so u must be doing something right i swear by soap and water nivea cream as opposed to fancy nancy potions . Hope u enjoying your weekend and have fun on your day out tommorrow and hope the pizza pinwheel thongs turn out well px
haha you had a great tip I wanted to share it in case people don't read the comments. I know it was a good shop I don't think I will have the same luck next week though with my son going back to school after half term break. Thank you so much for your kind words, I will be getting some nivea as a lot of people have recommended it to me and you can't beat soap & water. Hope you have a great weekend and week ahead xx
@@Solomumtoone thanks Rachel u r so right sharing is a great way of learning how to make this journey through life that bit easier . I hope u have a nice day planned whilst your boy is at his dads px
Cerave cream is very good for the face and body
O really, that's great thank you I will have a look at that cream xx
I wound strongly recommend Dr.Dray on TH-cam, she is a dermatologist and talk about budget friendly skin care from a drug store
She has videos on everything possible
That's brilliant thank you for the recommendation I will definitely check oit the channel xx
Rachel to be honest when I first saw your videos last week I thought you were in your late twenties and that is the honest truth. Your skin is really good considering you are 40. You did really well on your shopping this week, I would like to watch how you make your pizza base. When making a log of what is in your freezers get a plastic A4 clear page sleeve, the ones you can put in a binder and pop your list of freezer contents in and put it on the front of the freezer with a magnet or blue tack. This way you can see what you have and add to or take away what you have got. I put mine into categories, for example, meat, fish, veg and so on. You can do this for your cupboard contents too, I put mine inside of the cupboard doors. You can then just add to your shopping list what you run out of. When you are meal planning the pages can be taken out and you can plan what you are going to use without searching through everything. I know they do inventory books on Amazon for this and to be honest you could probably get a printable version for free somewhere on line. When I do my shopping I use a Sharpie to write the best before date on, especially if I have to do a big prep shop due to my health and mobility issues. It also makes sure you have less waste and makes you rotate your food stocks. Hope some of these tips help. I have never been to the Cotswold park you have mentioned, although my sons are grown up it may make a nice family day out or I could get my cousin to go with her great grandson, she became a great grandmother at 50 and we all wind her up. I do hope you don't mind me asking but are you from around Gloucestershire? Kind regards Angeline ❤️ xx
I live in Burford, where the Wildlife Park is and it’s a fab day out for all ages. Great cafe/restaurant as well as all the animals. The train ride around the park is quite fun too. 😊

Hi Rachel! I'm half way through your freezer video forgot to finish watching it lol! I have a list of what I have in my freezer usually but I haven't updated it in about a month so I will need to do that we can probably eat for 2 weeks out of there lol! Hope you enjoy your me time. Make sure and do something that makes you happy. X
It is surprising what we forget we have in the freezer which is why I like to do a freezer sort out once every other month it really does save me money. Thank you very much, I really need a little downtime to reset. Hope you and your boy are doing ok xx
@@Solomumtoone my freezer is still full lol! Oscar has chosen other things for dinners haha. Spaghetti and pasta sauce for 2 days which was nice and easy for me but I'm glad it didn't turn into a repeated meal lol. We are doing OK thank you hope you are enjoying your half term x
Rachel all your son is asking for with pizza puff pasty version of puff pin wheels also when you slice pizza pin wheels you can put some of them in the freezer for next time fancy pin wheel pizza
