I have a Swedish Mauser (1901). It was my first rifle but it stays in the safe these days. I also own a Tikka in 6.5 CM for target and a Sako in 6.5 PRC for hunting. Honestly, the 6.5x55 is my favorite cartridge but I use the 6.5 CM primarily because rifles and ammo are plentiful. This M12 review has sparked my interest for a 6.5x55 in a modern action that is more suited for cartridges that will outperform the 6.5x55 Swedish SAAMI maximum pressure of 51,000 psi.

great video Chris, i no what you mean i have a Tikka T3X super varmint in 6.5x55 and i love it it just does every thing fox goat deer and the feel of the rifle just fits like a glove, nearly bought a Mauser but here they are very very expensive. Cheers 👍👍

Cheers Chris. I asked on your last live stream M18 or M12 and you said both were great but the M12 was marginally better. Your live stream answer swayed me towards M12. Having handled both at the shooting show, this review has solidified my conviction to go for an M12. Thanks.

I have had my M03 for ten years mainly uswd in 8x68S caliber and I love it. But I also have a barrel in 6,5x55 (I'm a Swede myself) but have rarley used it. Shot some rounds with it a couple of weeks ago at 300 m and maybe was lucky but had one tjree shot group at 0.33 MOA. That's the best K ever shot and I'm hooked at this barrel for my M03.

    Hi Chris!
I just need to say that you‘re the only youtuber in the shooting sports branch that I trust without any hesitation.
I still don‘t really know what rifle to get.
I have the Mauser m18 Fenris, the Mauser m12 and the Sig Cross on my watchlist all in .308.
The rifle would be used most of the time for hunting and probably some long range shooting.
So is there a full review on the Sig Cross planned ?
    Love your Videos!
    Greetings from Germany!

Klasse Waffe!

Great rifle and caliber. Any full caliber will do on any game. Some swear on 30 caliber, 35 caliber and others. As with pistol calibers, there are virtually no difference in preformance (magnums not included) The deer wil go down as fast with a 6.5x55 as with a .308, 3006.300wm, or ten other calibers people can thonk of in their class. The 6.5x55 have taken a shitload of polarbears through the last 140 years.

Looks like a very crisp trigger but quite surprised by the large recoil for a moderated rifle.
