Easy game this time around. Must say the filming angles are great Lovely ground at Rochdale too. Big clubhouse and pleased to say alot of supporters enjoying the sunshine. You cannot get better village cricket than that. Up and coming young cricketers should watch the footwork of your openers. Great stuff, and thanks from Dave in Berlin

Just a quick question, did Fawad Alam played for your club?

Yes Fawad did play for Clitheroe during the 2017/18 seasons and was regarded very highly both as a player and as an individual. We won the league in 2017 . Fawad, at one point in the season, returned to Pakistan to play in a tournament. This tournament was cancelled and Fawad flew back to the UK and helped us secure the league. You won't hear anyone at Clitheroe call him.

No there isn't a higher league within the Lancashire League set up. The traditional Lancashire League, which went back into the 19th century, was changed in 2017 with the introduction of "outsiders", including Clitheroe and a number of others. In 2019, the league split into two divisions 1 and 2. Its my opinion that these new clubs have revitalised the Lancashire League. Although not everyone would agree with this, the league now has a more modern structure. The glory days of the Lancashire League arguably from the 1920s through to the 1970s are no more because the world-class professionals that it one time attracted are not available or affordable.
