- Joey Logano won the NASCAR All-Star Race at North Wilkesboro but all the buzz centered around the post-race fight between Ricky Stenhouse Jr. and Kyle Busch.
Stenhouse made it clear he was angry after Busch appeared to intentionally crash Stenhouse on Lap 2 of the 200-lap All-Star Race. Stenhouse parked his car in Busch's pit stall, climbed on the pit box to yell at Busch's crew chief and then said he was going to do something about it after the race. And sure enough, Ricky delivered on that promise, waiting for Kyle at his team hauler in the infield at North Wilkesboro.
From there, a shouting match erupted and the scrum went viral. Comparing 1979 Daytona to the 2024 All star race is no comparison. Stage racing is crap. Hardly any strategy, it's full hard racing for positions before Nascar throws a mandatory caution. It's a frigging joke.

Nascar wants drivers to fight each other. Until it happens then it's not ok. Make up your mind. It sells tickets and they know it. I wish they would have fought it out like we used to do at school. They always look like girls anyway.

They say don’t wreck the cars! Stenhouse takes care of it out of the car and gets a ridiculous fine while Kyle gets nothing for putting Ricky in the wall. I’ve been attending or watching NASCAR since we drove to Memphis and watched Mario win the Daytona 500 on closed circuit. The sport has outgrown my interest since it left the common man’s money and the fines have superseded the team’s budget for the season only a few years ago. Wood turning on my lathe will get more attention on Sunday. This comes from 60 plus years of being an avid fan.
if you're old enough to have watched those races then you should be old enough to know real men don't sucker punch, they don't tell all their friends and anyone else that will listen that they're going to get someone so come watch. and real men absolutely do not have someone hold the person so they can't fight back, it's shameful a lot of you don't see how childish this was. he's jealous of the other drivers and it's affecting his judgment. i don't like him anyway, never could stand a man that would sleep with a married woman.

Glass Jaw Joe punch from Mike Tyson game & totally embarrassing because it had other people interfering. It cost Ricky 75k, his dad getting punched & indefinitely banned from NASCAR. And one Crew member suspended 4 races and the other suspended 8 races....

Nascar should appreciate Ricky doing this and taking attention away from that awful race. Fair play to Lagano for winning, but that was tough to watch. I miss the old all star races.

The problem with the fight is that the outcome does not necessary prove who is right. The fight is a different contest. Want to watch a fight, watch the UFC. Want to see racing, watch NASCAR.
That wasn’t a fight. Ricky cold cocks Kyle then everyone jumps in so no one gets another lick in. Not defending anybody but let them sort it out until someone is being over powered or they tire them selves out. Even then the crew needs to be spectators only.
Could the county sheriff bring assault charges against Ricky for throwing a punch ?
If nascar plays that fight in any ad, they owe Ricky an apology and $75000 back

NASCAR could have handled it by putting a penalty on Kyle or telling Ricky they would deal with it. They also could have told him they were going to fine him stupid, or kept him in his hauler. But they wanted it, and Ricky and his dad are the only ones being held responsible
Add this to the growing number of times that NASCAR has shown themselves to either be unwilling or unable to address issues that happened out on the track (when they happened) that have led to either on-track incidents or post-race incidents. Can't wrap my head around the concept of NASCAR just letting things play out and issue fines and penalties as they see fit mid-week.
you want kyle penalized because ricky wrecked that bad from a little bump, maybe look at the video again, he didn't run him into the wall, he bumped and back off, unlike the wrecks that ricky causes.
@@jimmieroan9881 he hit him twice. When the first bump didn't do anything, he straight hooked him up in to the wall. Everybody knows Kyle did it on purpose, NASCAR should have given Kyle a penalty on the spot or told Ricky they were going to investigate it. But they literally shrugged it off.

I disagree with KP. Waiting to retaliate has been the norm in racing forever. If Ricky had intentionally wrecked KB 3 weeks from now, NASCAR wouldn't have done anything to him. That's my issue with the fine.

@@GASparky217Nobody watches the race apparently. Kyle didn’t do anything on purpose as they say. He feathered that throttle and we all heard it. If Stenhouse was in the throttle, Busch would have never gotten close enough. The 47 was backing up to KB and I believe that Stenhouse did that on purpose. I don’t care what they say, but Stenhouse is sneaky Ricky!

Kyle Busch, if not the best driver, certainly one of the best, He will race you just like you race him. Danica's boy put Kyle in the wall on the first lap, Kyle returned the favor on lap 2. I quit nascar the day I saw BLM on the trunk lid of the 43, but I do remember that much about Kyle Busch from the past.

IMHO, the wreck was exactly what Kyle described it as - Kyle slide up and Stenhiuse filled the gap. Secind, passion is okay. Yelling and arguments are okay. A brawl and threatening to wreck your opponent intentiknally the next race... should not be permitted and Stenhiusr got an appropriate fine but also should have been made to sit out the Charlotte race The suspension if the Stenhouse crew is also appropriate And eventhiugh I don't care for Busche, he was defending himself. They ganged up on him.
Now for Stenhouse Sr. He was a third party, nit a member if the team. Nascar should ban him from the infield for at least 3 races. Make it clear that if you aren't a member if a team you don't get involved with disputes between teams and certainly don't hit a NASCAR driver. We shall see what NASCAR decides on that.

I was a diehard Nascar fan pretty much my entire life. Until about 10 years ago. I just could no longer tolerate shit show racing, boring cars, follow the leader, wimpy librarian drivers, can't pass you so I'll wreck you, and Nascar's constant poor decision making. The race at N. Wilksboro was a snoozer beyond description. Track owners greed was beyond belief starting 25 years or so ago with the buying of tracks just to get their date and then closing them down. As well as building and reconfiguring tracks just to build more grandstands and having to remove them down the road when all the fans left. Watkins Glen is only 60 miles away and I don't even go there anymore.
No Kyle Petty Busch did not get wrecked but Stenhouse roughed him up a little. In my opinion Stenhouse shouldn't have been running that hard on the first lap of the race. He drives over his head way too much.

Is a typical nascar “fight” that is 1 swing before outsiders jump in to pull drivers off each other, handling it? Let the drivers have at least 5 minutes without interference to “handle it”. Easy to enforce. Any person other than the driver that interferes will be hit with a $250k fine.
Nascar has a black flag for this sort of thing and chose to leave it to Stenhouse. I see better officiating at my local dirt track.

From what I saw , Kyle got crowded by Stcrowded by Stenhouse wh led to the foreseeable wreck , and with Nascar having a let them race attitude in the last several years it has to be admitted that the racing has become definitely more physical and Nascar has painted themselves into a corner as far as letting physical contact happen , and it's up to The Nascar big wigs to forget about profits made and worry more about the entertainment being provided and the scary part is it's hard to tell what's important to the Nascar front office anymore 😊😅😢😂❤😊❤😊❤

Kyle is one of the reasons I quit watching NASCAR. I started reading about NASCAR in magazines in 1969, and I quit paying attention around 2005.

Went down and hit Ricky and then he took him out in next lap!A little early in the race to be pulling that. He got what he has done to others a number of times and deserved. This wasn't a "fight" Stenhouse thew a sucker punch and his father attacked Busch. NASCAR has hyped this up and posted multiple videos and commentary to promote NASCAR. Giving that, I don't think Stenhouse should have be given a fine and his father should not have been banned. With this incident, NASCAR has encouraged more "fights" because that's what sells. I could be wrong, but I'm not.

I think if a driver intentionally wrecks another driver, they should automatically be suspended from the next race.
Or, if both sides agrees to it, they should get into a boxing ring and box it out. With a referee, 12OZ gloves and everything.
If a driver retaliated any other way, they should take a one race suspension and be fined.
This system would be a win for NASCAR and the fans.
