if your talking about from at least 30 years ago -yes all sivas performed today are slightly different where as today the sivas seem to look 'too polished' or 'robotic' but the competitive aspect of festivals like this one forces students to not look laid back and relaxed when performing as they are judged. Most dances in many cultures evolve and never stay the same. Samoan sivas are no different.
