I played this game for 6 years everyday.. i stopped playing since last year.. every time i hear limsa and gridania music.. my soul longs to it, the friends i played with... all the fun i had.. the memes.. the adventures.. the raids.. my home.. i miss it.. i miss you thunder volt... I loved and enjoyed every moment togather.. u left the game 2 years before me ... i never discarded our ring of eternal bond till the last moment before i logged off.. i still had it in my hotbar.. i will get back to the game .. but not now.. IRL is harsh these days.. no time to game anymore.. no time for fun... days will get better.. i hope
My favorite expansion so far. I love the atmosphere, the music, the characters; heroes and enemies. Stormblood is great, but I don't get the same feeling from Heavensward.
It's the same for me. I've done all the patches up to the current, but right from the start it felt... shallow. I remember discovering the areas in Heavensward, getting to know the characters and the story and it seemed so much more full of life and depth than Stormblood. The whole dragon culture with its history, myths and language was fascinating. With Stormblood it feels like it's the same story told twice and my favourite character ended up being Zenos, because he seemed the only one with some depth in his desperate search for some deep meaning... I understand that search! ^^;
I loved Heavensward but i believe Stormblood is also at the same level comparing to the story depth. It just gives a different feeling, doesn't mean its a bad a story.
at 1:32:23 that was one of my favorite zones because of that beautiful music, and there was quirky music in the dungeon located their as well I really loved

Sometimes I start "New Game+" just to visit him in Coerthas and to give him a hug. I stopped playing for a week after he died. Logging on to Ishgard nighttime sometimes still makes me cry. The song, the memories and the ambience is so powerful.

Oh, wow, nice! just was listening to a recent bit of FF14 music I setup in a video format like this and when it ended it cycled to this video. FF14 music is really nice. Only recently started playing FF14. One of my hobbies is making game play captures to the background music of that game.

No, that's Eternal Winds from FF3. It was the world map theme. The song in the ShadowBringers trailer was a redention of that song. Aparently, there's going to be a lot of callbacks to FF3 in that expansion. Yoshi-P even made unlocking the Crystal Tower Raid easier because of this.
While a good mix, it is missing several crucial Heavensward songs. Was really looking forward to the Dravanian Hinterlands theme, and yet nope. Not here. Heck there was Limsa and Ul'dah, but not a single ishgard track.

Well they assimilated a lot of ideas from previous games into FFXIV, an example being Gilgamesh, which had a story told in chain of side quests and trials

HW was more fantasy, SB is more real... I disliked that personaly, but it's FFXIV, it's all together mixed
