That line how sweet you would pray for him; is to me about how he sees his girl talking to other guys with a caring attitude where someone really insecure and deeply possessive would get upset at, but really its a beautiful thing to see. Talking about only blue or black days suggests that yeah he was looking for an escape or relief which might imply emotional cheating to some extent seeing as how he talks about how his heart has sinned. But they come back together because they mean much more to each other. The art to lifes distractions, he only saw that person as a distraction at an emotional level.
