It WAS intentional and as he mentioned: the repercussions are still being felt and reverberate across multiple generations to this day. Great speaker. I wish Derrick well in all his future endeavors. I was teaching in the Bronx during the 80’s crack explosion. Derrick is exactly on point when he said crack decimated families. The grandparents stepped in but families were broken and it was a hellish time.

He is the only person telling the truth about why so many people are homeless. People worry about homeless when they really need to worry about the working class in apartments and stuff. Being homeless you don't have to worry about being evicted etc. I'm glad he spoke a out that.

This interview was too short. There were so many questions you could have asked him. Like, how could he get a job while homeless, how does he balance the two, where are his childen, etc. etc. I could listen to this guy for hours. Wish him the very best and hopefully his dreams come true.
