Congratulations to everyone involved in achieving this historic moment. I look forward to seeing the fruits of your labor in the coming years as this Tokamak reactor is ramped up to produce safe fusion power. It really does mean a great deal to me everytime scientific advancement meets industrial and energy improvement. To the scientists and engineers who made this project possible and every nation that has funded the work, I sincerely thank you all.
Remember this is just an experiment to learn how to eventually make this work. The machine isn't meant to make surplus energy nor will it ever. This is a research tool
Great work! Alas, time after time while needed now, in 900 years this Son of Sun will become our biggest enemy of Aquarius . it will be the one thing in many parts that humanity fights over simply because we all did not have a say in it being built. the lessons of the age always come after. 🎉
The problem is that this tachnology might be ready to provide power only in the second half of the century. It will take one or two or three of a wind turbines lifetime before fusion power can take over, so we will have to keep building wind turbines for now.
in 2099 they will issue the turn the damn thing on command, maybe, perhaps - (its frustrating to follow iITER)....... yes, yes, I know its more advanced than a napkin holder, thank you
Congratulations on the milestone!
It's alive! 😊
Congratulations to everyone who is contributing to this amazing project!
Woohoo! Keep going, amazing work! Love the video updates.
I love the video updates as well! Congratulations, and keep going ITER!
let's go ITER :)
the operating systems desktop environment looks a bit like an XFCE theme I've used in the past.
Getting there! Congratulations to everyone involved.
Keep on the good work ITER Team, the whole world is watching you proudly.

Do they really need to wear hardhats in the control room?
Congrats and thanks for showing the update!
Can't wait to see the facility in action when it's completed
What SCADA system is this?
It's CODAC, based on EPICS
@@senyorx3Of course the french have to spell SCADA different
What operating system are you using?
Probably some linux distro I guess
Félicitations ! Une étape supplémentaire importante 👍🏻
ITER actif 😉
🎉🎉🎉
That was satisfying. Been there done that.
Another milestone reached! Step by step...
Awesome!
ITERrific! 🎉
Mi sueño es ayudar en este proyecto, espero poder trabajar en una sala como esa en el futuro.
START THE FANS PLEASE
We are so close to fusion power generation! Only 30 more years! Keep going!

Sir, this is about an experimental physics facility, not an astrological observatory.
RELEASE THE KRAKEN !
🙂
Well done to all concerned
Ok the building has electricity and a pump can be remotely monitored and controlled. That's a milestone for the nerds 🙄
Hit the AZ5 button. Then spam mail the world begging for more cash.
This is much better than wind turbines.
The problem is that this tachnology might be ready to provide power only in the second half of the century.

The most expensive protect mankind has ever constructed - that control room looks entirely underwhelming.
Is it realy the most expensive?
Wrong! The most expensive project is Hinkley Point C NPP in GB - more than twice as ITER✌️😁

Notice the wokeness even here. They put a photo with a woman in centre. Please share the data of how many women builders there percentage wise.
