- This 3DS prototype could technically be considered lost media of over 13 years as the game behind it, WWE Brawl, has NEVER had any gameplay shown of it. The only known remains of WWE Brawl are from an Xbox series of trailers released by WWE themselves. It's sad to see that this prototype 3DS game had so much work put into, but sadly that's what happens when a video game company goes defunt.
WWE Brawl now has some closure.

This reminds me alot of Power Stone! this could've been a pretty good successor to that for 3DS owners at the time if THQ never shut down.

IIRC, this was the game that was going to have Vince McMahon with a mech armor, presumably as a final boss in whatever story mode WWE Brawl would've had.
I was so hyped about this game as a kid glad to get some closure on it!!

I've collected a lot of prototypes before, so i have some personal history with this topic. My biggest find was a prototype disc for Colin McRae Rally 04 which had two things of note, one of them being a mysterious 13 minute song with an unknown origin, which was later found to be the song "Virtuoso" by "Slam" but slowed down by 50%, and the second one being a low res texture of an unfinished car. Fortunately though the car was a clone of an already existing car, the ford focus. So with the power of textures from other cars, images off the internet and a sprinkling of AI, i was able to bring back the car to it's former glory. It's small things like that which fascinate me about prototypes.

the only times this game has surfaces is the 3DS version sadly, and weirdly enough it has been put up on online shopping websites multiple times, and has only ever come from japan.
I would love to see builds of every cancelled wrestling game but I'm sure most are lost to history

I remember being very excited when this game was announced, and then more time passed with nothing new being released about it. When THQ went under I came to terms that I'd never see it again. Now all I need is to see WWE Wrestlefest running on PS3 & child me would explode in joy.

Even though it's a prototype of a game almost no one cares about, I do find one thing interesting about it. That's what 3DS dev cartridges look like.
They kinda look like DS Action Replay cartridges from back in the day. The ones that jut out from the cartridge slot and are so tall that they touch the back of the top screen.
I don't care about WWE but this game looks so cool, shame it was cancelled. good video
