    It would be cool if we could have English 8 ball players, Filipino 15 ball rotation players and American straight pool/1 pocket players to all play each other’s games in a triathlon of
    Pool

    I see how now pro players don't allow pressure to take over his autopilot (be in his own field, without fear or pressure) and which is a great thing to do as we underrated pool players lack in terms of adjusting. Pressure makes us rush into a shot & tactically make mistakes or errors which is unnecessary.

    If you play a deliberate foul is it not two shots? The one that forced Gareth to have to double the black?

    • @seanscanlon9067
      @seanscanlon9067 25 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Two shots is more a pub thing in pool but because there seemed to be so many different rules, they brought them under the international rules heading, so now a deliberate foul like Mick played only results in a loss of turn and handing over control of the table to your opponent.

      @@seanscanlon9067 yep I wish my pub league played international rules. Or even blackball! Too many old guys voting for ancient rules

    Can someone please explain to me what 'nipping the ball' means? I can't find any reference to this term on Google. Like when a pro says 'I had to nip the ball'.

    • @drewninja899
      @drewninja899 ปีที่แล้ว

      Maybe it's where they use all of the pocket if you nip a ball you are potting it into the side of the pocket to get better postion

    • @trebordraw
      @trebordraw ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It means he has to play with screw but perfectly timed or the screwback won't react correctly. So not too slow/fast, perfect timing required to keep the white under control.

    • @dhirajpallin2572
      @dhirajpallin2572 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      If I was to guess myself, I'd say it's when they're trying to kill the cue ball on a shot which has a bit too much angle. Would they just use gentle screw for that, or also some side to help kill it?

    • @middleagedshred
      @middleagedshred ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yea after watching a match where the commentator often said.."he nipped that in perfectly" it seemed to be when a screw shot with an elevated cue caused more dramatic screwback ..sorta "nipping" the cue ball between the cue tip and felt. Often the players would be cueing over balls or against the cushion when commentators said this...I would like clarification on this myself..)

    • @Jimminy812

      nipping means hitting it very thin, nipping can be synonymous with clipping in the uk
