AMAZING! I have watched and followed this team since I first saw them LIVE at 1988 UCA Nationals in San Diego. Since then, I have NEVER seen another team come close to this level of synchronization, sharpness, formations with PERFECT symmetry. With the exception of 1989 UCA Nationals, I have every performance of this Pom Squad during their reign of dominance until 1996 on video. And, yes, they were robbed of the title in 1996. Cheryl Ganong, the legacy of your teams and your work lives on!!!
Their best championship routine was in 1984 or 85. I cannot remember the year. They were outside competing on turf and worn white tops I believe with blue shorts, white crew sweat sox and capezio dance shoes. The routine was flawless beyond flawless!!! Someone, please post that routine.
@winkytink I agree. Long Beach State's routine was awful, and so were their costumes. Memphis' routine was awesome, quite technical too. I think it was their silver costumes that hurt them a little, since the competition floor was White (?) and they blended in toooo well with it.
OMG!! We had this on VHS and watched it over and over an over and over.... They effin killed it!
Me too!!! I used to learn the routines by rewinding the tapes a million times!🤣🤣🤣🤣

My Daughter does it again 😂🎉😮
That routine is 20 years old and still enjoyable. And better than many a dance teams performing today. Kudos to the old Memphis State Pom!

I have it, and was on the team but it is on a vhs. I would have to figure out how to get it on the computer.
@KARBELAEZ Nope, the one YOU are talking about is from 1994, the last year they allowed dancers to do drop to the knees jumps.
