First! What do I think of 4Ks? That we should have gone directly to them and jump Blu-Ray. I have hundreds of VHS, 3,000+ DVDs, 200+ Blu-Rays and about 10 4Ks. I have double dipped a lot and then triple dipped with Blu-Ray with my favorites. I have little 4Ks because I'll be quadruple dipping! I wish I wouldn't have bought so many DVDs. I saw all of the All The Haunts Be Ours box set movies and what a letdown! About half are not horror or folkloric. WOW! I didn't know Scream released so many titles incredible your collection is awesome. And you can show them off. I live in a studio so I can't do that. Yet another epic and cool video Todd!👍
Thank you very much Todd For Sharing Your Scream Factory Collection, That’s Collection Is Awesome, You Have A Lot Of Great Titles There, I Will Make A Video On My Scream Factory Collection, Thanks Again Buddy, I really do appreciate it
Incredible collection, so jealous. I am also in Wisconsin. About the only ones I have that I didn’t see was Invasion of the Body Snatchers, Brain Dead, Dead Zone and the Corman Collection of Death Race 2000. The only double feature I have is Race with the Devil and Dirty Mary Crazy Larry.👍
9:23 That gorgeous cover art for Roger Corman's 'Forbidden World' was painted by Tim Hildebrandt and he and his brother, Greg, painted one of the iconic posters for 'Star Wars' (1977).
In terms of 4K some are more noticeable then others. For example throw on the 4K of Grease. It’s an unbelievable transfer! If Grease is your thing that is. Also a newer movie Love & Monsters looked amazing!
Amazing video Todd. My favorite Shout Factory Blu-ray's are Lifeforce, Firestarter, Ninja 3 The Domination (which I'll answer to your question about the 2018 re-release, not only it has new slipcover and artwork, but also has a new 4K restoration which means that Lucida Dickey will look even sexier in the film), Creepshow, Escape from New York, The Fog, Piranha Steelbook, My Bloody Valentine Steelbook, Halloween 4K's, Night of the Creeps, Night of the Comet, The Thing and many more. It would be nice to renew the collection with the new 4K and Blu-ray releases that they are upcoming. Also note that The Thing is available on 4K by Universal on a standard Blu-ray case with the original poster artwork, and a Steelbook Best Buy exclusive.
When it comes to 4K it all comes down to the quality of the transfer (some aren’t native 4K and just 1080p up scales) and also the quality of the TV, you really need something high end to appreciate the extra colours, brightness, depth and resolution. Top tier Sony Bravia or Panasonic sets can do this easily. Low to midrange tvs and 4K can actually look worse than regular Blu-ray. Just thought I’d chime in from personal experience, enjoyed this video as always Todd cheers.
Hi Kieran. All good points you make, but I have a top quality TV 55” Sony Bravia OLED 4K smart TV and a Sony 4K region free Blu Ray player and most of the time I can’t see the difference. Maybe I need glasses. 🤷
5:00 Yes, Roger Corman's 'Battle Beyond the Stars' was a lot of fun and it had the clever combination of 'Star Wars' and 'The Magnificent Seven' (or 'The Seven Samurai' which pre-dated 'The Magnificent Seven', of course). It was basically 'The Magnificent Seven in Space' (while featuring Robert Vaughn who had been a mercenary gunslinger character in that iconic Western). Plus, it has a fantastic, lush orchestral score by a very young James Horner and this score pre-dated one of his best scores which was 'Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan' which is a testament in many ways regarding how many talented people in the Hollywood movie industry got their start working for Roger Corman. :)
An outstanding Scream Factory/Shout Factory collection, Todd. I have a few titles here and there, but over all, my DVD and Blu-ray collection is not huge, but there are enough movies to occupy me for quite some time and I collect my nostalgic favourites or ones that peak my interest without planning to collect the entire catalogue. I generally organize my movies first by genre and then alphabetically with a few exceptions like putting Hammer horror movies together, but I must say that it is a treat to see your shelves dedicated to particular company's releases. There is a wonderful stylistic consistency when it comes to Scream Factory, Arrow Video, Severin, Synapse, Blue Underground, Code Red, Scorpion, Kino-Lorber, Full Moon, etc. :)
Incredible collection! Love watching your collection videos. Hey if you’re still lookin for protectors for the SF slip editions, Malko makes a size that’s damn near perfect for those. It’s the protector for Blu-ray’s with slip covers. They have other sizes as well, but the slip cover ones are great for those. I also use their steel book protectors for my Vinegar Syndrome, Arrows with slips and without slips, and of course my steel books. All the best to you Todd. 🤘🏻🔥💯
Phenomenal collection 👍🏻 And Once Bitten (with a very young JC) and Love at First Bite were both pretty funny as I recall but then again it’s been a looong time since I’ve seen either; it wouldn’t surprise if they don’t hold up. And People Under the Stairs, and MM in Q - both 👍🏻👍🏻
@@ToddEWalnuts doing well, thanks! I recently watched Carnival of Souls (1962) and wow, just wow. So many flicks have clearly stolen from that film. It was unexpectedly creepy and quite effective despite its meager budget. I hope to get a review of it posted to my channel soon. Take care out there. 👍🏻
I always appreciate these videos Todd. The devil rides out is a bona fide hammer classic. Unfortunately the new remaster added new sound & digitial effects . I'm not sure which version you have. I recommend the new scream factory Event Horizon if you can pick up. Have a great weekend.
49:34 Yeah, that opening scene in 'Ghost Ship' was amazingly horrific, but the rest of the film didn't live up to that gripping opening. However, the premise was a great idea as a ship of the damned. Once thing that made me chuckle though was how Gabriel Byrne's outfit was practically identical to the one he wore in the last third of 'The Usual Suspects'. It's uncanny.
Oh wow awesome collection I'm jealous as you have ones on Blu-ray which as I'm from the UK they won't work on my blu ray player also slither is that the original or the awful remake
Hi Nicola, thank you for watching. I don’t have Slither, but I would like to get it at some point. It’s the James Gunn movie from 2006 and it’s a good creature feature film. I enjoy it. I’m not aware if it’s been remade.
One reason why I didn't like it the last of us part II, some too violent and i did disappointed resident evil village, about that half game isn't even fine horror, i didn't felt that horror so much but that castle was awesome and that what I didn't like, i didn't seen any vampire fangs, resident evil 7 is much better, it's still fun and great atmoshere game to play but i guess is good order also the next resident evil 9 what rumor says is coming in the future and i still waiting my ps5, it should come in later in spring, so store say
Love this collection of horror genres I still need a few more trilogy box sets that I'm missing a few more would be good
Thanks Jordan

It’s frustrating to buy the same movie over and over. It’s a grip I’ve had for a few years now.

I just started collecting my first horror movie collection is Friday the 13th 8 pack with trading cards
You picked a nice one to start with.
I didn’t realize that you didn’t buy the Halloween box set or the Friday the 13th box set
I forgot to show them.

I was waiting for Urban Legend SF edition but you don’t have it.
Nah, I have the 88 Films Urban Legends box set
Hey man, so I was wondering, do these twin packs have any sorts of special features?
Sadly not very many special features
Which factory you like the most?
Which release? The Vincent Price boxsets
Cool
There is one scream factory release you forgot to show in the video, that I know you have and I think you can answer it yourself. Now that I said it 🙂
There were two I missed
