Have you ever drawn a section before? How did it go? P.S. The book I mentioned in the video is called the MANUAL OF SECTION: amzn.to/2QPPX4O I reference this all the time in school and they have beautiful section drawings(: 11/10 recommend
Amazing video! I'm a third-year archi student and I wish I have seen this video three years ago! I've been wondering how people get that neat perspective hatch for sooo long!
I feel so late but it's your biggest fan here I love ur vids so much you've taught me mostly everything I've known about architecture love your fav archi student and biggest fan
Great video! Thank you so much! One question though, could you explain your export to illustrator step in a bit more detail? For me it always seems to be by luck if it works haha sometimes it works without any problems sometimes everything is messed up in illustrator and i don't know why.
oh wow I can make a video on that bc there are so many websites - too many to mention. The best sites though I use are dimensions.com!! IMO, they have the best entourage - very cleanly traced!
Y’all she ain’t Lying about that clean up time in rhino. Also that edit time will increase with the more CAD blocks (line drawings of people, trees, furniture, etc.) You add.
a few tricks: 1 - make sure all your lines are projected to the CPlane. Type "projecttoCPlane" in command bar 2 - you can remake the boundary of what region you are trying to hatch. Use the command "CurveBoolean" and select the region that you want. This command will create a NEW curve of just this region. Next, run the hatch command and select this new line you just created. 3 - if the hatch is made, explode it, then immediately group it. That also might solve your problem! hope that helps
You can double major to do that. But if you have a bachelors you would need to attend a special masters program. The University of Maryland has one it’s seven semesters and designed for ppl who majored outside of architecture. You also have to do 3k hours worth of internship and take 8 tests. So yes but it’s very intense.
@@Juliana-no7ur oh i was asking bc my family is currently doing construction for houses and we hired a civil engineer who does our house plans. I really want to do the same as him but i dont want to double major haha
@@recky7470 I want to construct houses for a living too. Ik you can double major in both at Catholic university but you also won’t get any sleep. Civil engineering people I think can design houses too but huge buildings need an architect to sign off on it. Ask him though if you can I’m interested in whatever he does

This is so helpful omg I’m so thankful for this whole channel 🙏 One vid idea I think would help in the future would be a video on layer management!
I really love you tutorial, thank you❤️
You’re welcome 😊
Really helpful thank you so much!
You're welcome!
Thanks girl make more section type of hack videos. Love!
Always on time ✨👏
Always!((:
Great video!!
thank you so much!!!(:
great video. i have a question though, why did you use split command when clipping plane / make2d can do the job alone?
I usually do that so that you can get some line weight hierarchy where the actual cut is
Great video, very informative.loved it
Glad you enjoyed it!
How do you know what I'm searching for ..... like always 🌼❤️😂
I'm a mind reader(:
Thank you so much, you really helped alot .
Love the video!!!
Hope this tutorial was easier to follow vs last week's haha thank you!
@@UnravelingArchitecture haha yes definitely! Thank you :)

I am obsessed with your OBJ's(furnitures, human figures) where I can find them?

also helps to construct a section perspective by hand, just once
Hi ! struggling student who is new to rhino here - how do you put people and furniture in your model ? is that in another video ?
Can you do a video on a basics tutorial on how to use rhino and revit
sure thing!! Might not be able to compile a good tutorial for a month or two though!

How i can draw 2 parallel lines? please
Hi, where did you get your 3D people?
turbosquid, 3d Warehouse are really common places. Make sure you filter by price and download free !! no need to pay for anything(:
Thanks for sharing. I have a problem when creating section 3d, i can't make 2d with hatch line. Do you know how fix it ?
Explode the hatch then immediately group
If you are unable to hatch anything it probably means you don’t have a closed boundary!
thanks a lot, you did solve a problem confusing me for a long time, and now it save my time!@@UnravelingArchitecture
If you study civil engineer are you able to get a lisence for architecture so u are able to do house plans

@@Juliana-no7ur but yeah i will try asking him about.
You literally skipped the most important part??? Maybe show us how u made 2d??
that is how you make it 2d! haha I guess it wasn't clear but the command itself is "Make2D"
Can you not section on Autocad or Revit?
You can !!! Revit makes sections super easy! But This tutorial was geared toward architecture students who primarily use rhino in school!
What are the specifications of your laptop/computer?
You don't need to cut the model in half, you can make 2d already!!
question why the hell are they sleeping underground😂😂😂
