I've seen it done quicker and cleaner with a piece of fishing line maybe you mentioned that sorry! But yeah typically you can finish it off with Goo gone. Looks good. 👍

I pulled mine off with my hands using no heat, course they were on there for 5 years so the glue had dried more than your new bike. The bike definitely looks better without them.
I don’t know why everyone goes through all this trouble. Pulled mine off with a pair of pliers. Took less then 5 min. WD40 removed the tape from the hard bags.

i didnt mention it but that is a great technique as well just didnt have any strong fishing line laying around

I did mine using dental tape to run behind the reflector after the heat and they came off very easy
