lol for about a week i've been interested in starting up a pressure washing business, and I've consumed probably like 20+ hours of content regarding pressure washing, have a notepad full of notes and questions I need answers to, got a playlist with videos that have useful info i don't want to forget, etc. I am just soaking up knowledge and it feels good.
Thank you for information it is greatly appreciated!! I have only done a couple jobs and I am still working on getting some more stuff together. Definently alot of motivation comes from your videos
Great Tips, just started pressure washing like 3 months ago, I think I’m still in CHAPTER ONE and this 5 tips will help me move to Chapter 2 and 3, thanks a lot! Gracias !🙏🏻
Thank you Cody, very informative really appreciate your knowledge and insight. I’m learning a lot from your from your channel. I’m hoping to buy a skid from you this year. That’s my goal
be Professional-organized equiptment and maintained. go alittle extra make sure you clean house and any mess you make doing it, do'nt blow thru do great job and then a disaster in your wake. you have a great attitude ty
Tip # 6. Make sure your wife is onboard before you start investing the vacation money in your new business idea. My wife is and she also knows it may well take a year or two of consistently working it to make it happen. Her support and encouragement is the best motivation when frustration and discouragement sets in.
I'm just starting out my own business I've been doing heavy industrial cleaning for The last 5 years. That includes pressure washing. The last 6 weeks I've been doing 12-hour days cleaning grease off concrete. While on the side getting all my equipment together unfortunately some of these companies are so far behind it's taking forever to get everything ordered in. How far out do you think I need to start advertising even if my equipment isn't here yet? I appreciate all your videos and your Christian attitude about how you run business. God bless you and your family.
Agreed on all points, not much to add as I am super fresh with under 10 jobs complete and have thrown myself into what seems like the deep end with roof cleaning. I know I’ll have to coat a few times just down streaming a 4 gpm, I’m that new. I do have a question though in regards to tackling roofs that have solar panels and/or solar heating. I just can’t find a best practice online that will achieve a uniform roof clean without over spraying hot sauce on the panels everyone has now. My guess is to pump up spray a wide surrounding boarder of the panels outline with a barrier shield as I go, or to possibly cover the panels but logistically that seems a nightmare? I have surged my homework from your content, Aaron’s and Mike’s and find you guys to be kick ass. I just need an experts opinion and if the soft wash gods are kind I could one day expand with your products also.
I can tell you had some mechanical knowledge lol that’s why I asked in a video how I can make the manifold… lol One thing I fear on advertising is getting to many jobs all at once …. I have a job so every day off and days my son not in school I’m wanting to knock it out…
Great video lovely family I have prices right on website and this year started them taking pictures and I'll send quote and we have uniforms look professional
We spoke briefly on Facebook and i left you a review after purchasing a wand. My point is i agree with branching out. In the beginning don’t be afraid to reach out and learn from established businesses, even competition. You can learn good and BAD traits to model yourself or your business after. Often you’ll find those who do what they say and those who don’t. And support one another! It pays in the end 💪🏽
Hey quick question I cannot find how much bleach to use for a 2000 square-foot one-story shingle roof I’ve looked and looked and looked can somebody let me know please thank you
I'm a truck driver and I'm away from home monday-friday and want to start soft washing/pressure and handyman services but I make just enough money to pay the bills. How do I start up ?
Can I get some help? Looking to go to Veteran's' homes and do soft wash for them. This is a project for my kids and me. Looking for info on chemicals for cleaning.
@@southeastsoftwash4020 Thank you! I had a customer last month who was very scared about ruining it and I could not 100% say they would not get stained yada yada, and out of caution, they had the solar guy take them down and then back up after. They were very happy with results and had the dreaded GREEN side of the house that needed a wash very badly. Thanks for your response!
just out of curiosity -does DOT require a chemical placard if you carry more then a normal useage amount of anything with bleach in it. or a acid wash for new brick or pool decks?
Hi, went just starting should i make big discounts to have some reviews or just put normal pricing and focus on marketing. For the first week un business
I just started a Pressure Washing business so do you think using bleach and Elemonator together a good fit together in stead of using Dawn soap , I feel dawn soap is not a good thing
Jamie Silmon I’ve never recommended dawn. Elemonator, or any other good quality surfactant is good to go. Dawn specifically says on the bottle not to mix with bleach
Sky Steppes other contractors in your area may be hesitant to share their pricing with you, due to you being direct competition. You’ve got to find a way. Ask around to people you know that have had their house cleaned and see what they paid. It’ll take some leg work but you’ll eventually get a ballpark idea
Do an estimate before each job and stick to your estimates. Respond and get to estimates within 24 or 48 hours. I aim to get 70% of my estimates. If you get less than 70%, you are charging too high, more than 70%, you are not charging enough. I'm in Canada and charging Canadian $. For roofs, base price is ~$200 for 5 gal of commercial SH of bleach installed + $50 for every 5 gal more. I estimate how much i need based on experience. I charge extra for height, difficult slopes, eavestroughs, etc. Costs, supply demand is different in your area. Figure it out.
Get quotes by your competitors on your own house. Then have your friends do the same exact thing. All the deferent houses should get you in the ballpark for your area.
@@NathanBrantley It's a stucco type product. Styrofoam with a coating. There were lots of water intrusion lawsuits against it in the Pacific Northwest.
Scott Fortner we always do the low section first. That way as your cleaning and it drains to that spot you will be fine with that area. We also keep a blower in the truck. Most of the time you can blow the standing water off
Kenneth Ross there are some clients that you simply cannot please. I will not waste time trying to appease them. To a certain extent, yes I’ll go out of the way to make the customers happy. After all we are in a service industry. But there is a line where I will absolutely fire them as a customer and block that number.
"Homie dont olay that" haha! Professionalism is key. You always are very informative, and I greatly appreciate that!
Perfect video! Appreciate all the knowledge you pass along. God bless you and your family 🇺🇲

Are solar screens safe for bleach? Stupid question, but can not find a definitive answer online. Love your videos!
Mark Klodzinski They should be fine. However I would make sure to rinse them off thoroughly after work. Obviously, they should be sealed up

Are you by chance going to be at The Huge Convention in Branson, Mo. in AUG?? Booth set up?

just out of curiosity -does DOT require a chemical placard if you carry more then a normal useage amount of anything with bleach in it. or a acid wash for new brick or pool decks?
1000 lbs or more hazardous material will require a placard. I don't think that includes any diluted solutions.

Why is pricing such a mystery? How are you supposed to find out the going rate when nobody will share it?

With your flat surface cleaning have had to deal with heavy water pooling back on your cleaned surface (poor drainage). How have you dealt with it?
