They made this band with relentless hard work and sheer passion and that took its toll by 90... Anyways they're still going strong but I'm enamoured by their 80s stuff... They took the break also, because they were in poor health and burnt out mentally and physically. 2 back to back world tours..1st one 16 months or more and then right back to studio to produce an album, then back to another 16 month plus tour. God Bless them! But they came back stronger and better. R.I.P. Alec

Interesting to see this tonight. It was either 86 or 87 we were playing (Wrathchild) at the "Empire Club" in Philly. One of our guys in the band says to me, "your twin brother just walked into the bathroom"! I said, "man, whatcha talking about"? He said, "Bon Jovi"! So I walk in the bathroom and there he is at the urinal...so I peed next to him and said, "how you doing" and he said, "Good man"! Later that night after the show at the Empire Club we drive to the hotel and Bon Jovi and Tico come to our room. It was just Shannon Larkin (Godsmack) and I (two drummers) in the room. They showed up to ask Shannon to join Cinderella on their debut album and future tour. Three drummers and Bon Jovi talked for hours that night. Tico was really proud having the Pearl Drums endorsement and it was nice hearing him talk about. It's really nice to still see Bon Jovi and Tico are still tightly bonded today just as they were that night back 86/87. Neither Shannon or I didn't take their offerings of Cinderella...I wish at times I should have. So anyways, seeing Bon Jovi on videos still confusing to my mind because he looks like me and it takes a minute to adjust and say ,"That's not me"! Thanks Jon for all the girls because of your success, not mine. Cheers....still love your music. If Tico retires, call me. Thanks

watched another docco on their music you can even hear Sambora is influencing Jovi's vocal style. he was a world class muso and Richie must have seen how talented Jon was and star material. but sambora was more mature. all that guitar work was so polished and vibe. I was surprised how good a singer he was too tho!
@@harkmay From a musician’s standpoint, Richie was the best singer in the band. David was about as good a Richie. But Jon was a great lead singer and knew how to entertain a huge crowd.
